Thank you so much Rena and Dimitri for the outstanding hospitality. Loved our stay, beautiful views and location. Thanks for welcoming us and allowing us to stay in your part of the lodge. Waking up to that view is amazing. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended. Wish you all the best.

The relaxed atmosphere is evident immediately upon arrival. The units extremely fresh and clean and not lacking a single commodity. The communal Kitchen / Dining area is EXCELLENT....couldn't want for a single piece of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils or even nice wine glasses...we certainly made good use of those during our all too brief stay! LOVED our introduction to the...

We had a lovely time staying here. The room with ensuite was clean and spacious and so was the shared kitchen which is in a separate building. It was very quiet so that we had a good night's sleep. We loved the view from the bed which made it hard to get up in the morning. I would definitely recommend...

Want to experience the Hokianga? This is a good base, over looking the harbour and easy walk to village central with its pub (good meals), art shop, etc. About 4kms from car ferry to Rawene. Stehanie very welcoming, rooms tidy and warm, large fully equiped kitchen and dining in adjacent building. Plenty of character. Particularly good for disabled access. Suitable...

We stayed here for several nights over New Year. The rooms are fairly basic, but very clean and the bed comfortable. It felt a lot more like a slightly more upmarket hostel with ensuite than hotel. The view across the harbour is really quite lovely and you can sit on the deck to enjoy the view. The Night Sky Lodge...

The cabins are a bit old and small, but comfortable. The shared kitchen is in a big building across the yard. It is well equipped and we cooked two evening meals there. Stephanie, the owner, is very helpful and friendly, and gave us lots of advice on things to do in the area.

So quite & peaceful over looking the Hokianga Harbour, with mist one morning, clear skys the next & clouds on our last morning. You can just sit & watch the changing water view. So so peaceful you feel so welcome to be their.

Stayed overnight with the kids. Most hospitable, helpful, friendly reception and welcome. Loved the beds and shower- and the stars were just spectacular!! A really cute, quaint motel with nicely appointed rooms, lots of parking and really old fashioned hospitality. Super friendly++++ My city kids were wowed by the amazing stars- zero light pollution meant a spectacular sight- definitely return.

Clean, spacious and absolutely warm and toasty .... Felt so close to the stars giving us a cosmic evening and the morning mist and fog lifting off the hokianga harbour giving an amazing and serene view ... Complimentary coffee & tea, the kitchen very clean and tidy and dining table outside giving us the opportunity to all sit and chat...

I intended to drive straight through Kohukohu but missed the last ferry across the Hokianga so had to stay overnight. I'm so glad I did! Kohukohu itself is well worth a stop and is a photographer's paradise. The view from Night Sky Lodge is gorgeous. The Lodge is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Rooms open up with double doors onto...
