Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. The views are spectacular. The decor and design inside the old exterior of the main building is trendy and modern. The "cabins" are fabulous. I enjoy how they are hidden in the landscape. One thing to watch out for; bull ants. These massive ants will invade your cabins unless...

Hi, We know that it has passed some time from the last time you have came to Consolación, or at least since you have left the great comment. We were thinking about how to thank you and we guess you would probably like to share “this secret” with a friend or to come back so… We would like to invite...

I have visited this place as part of a business showcase with a band. They have been unbelievable with service, made me feel like a member of the family and really showed me what Spanish life is like. The building is beautiful and you can see the love and pride they have put into the place. I would recommend this...

...when the owners described this as a "delicious" hotel. The old buildings are beautiful, both inside (very modern) and out (ancient), and the kube rooms are fantastic. It's hard to imagine a more relaxing environment, with the silence of the trees and the valley outside the windows, and the warm fire glowing in the corner of the room. And after...

We spent just a day (as planned) at this unique and beatiful hotel located out of Monroyo / Montroig village, in Matarranya's comarch. Travelling with 2 kids (3 & 5 years old) option available was the Nordika room, a big one and minimalist suite with attached small room with 2 kids can sleep. For arriving is necessary to get your...

Thanks a lot! It is this kind of constructive reviews that keeps us alert and allows us to improve. I must say we’re visiting the hotel every week and when we sleep overstay for the night we usually stay in the Nordic room. True, there is no table to work, we take note of it, but there is a very...

I have to admit that the hotel entrance and welcome introduction are quite charm but all ended when I entered Kube #10. The room had been recently painted and the smell was notable, we were offered aromatic candles but we only received them in our third night. Besides the smell, the room was quite dusty. They cleaned while we went...

Dear customer, I regret that the experience was not as good as you expected. Regarding the smell of paint I have no other choice than say sorry. We plan to paint all the rooms in a period with no customers but the painter made a mistake with the type of product and had to return to paint again. Obviously it...

Consolacion's pay off is: 'A delicious hotel and restaurant'... And they are right: Stunning views, maximum privacy in your own cabin, dedicated staff and great food. Situated off the beaten track (an hour drive from the Mediterranean coast, between Barcelona and Valencia), in a mountain-area. No (view) tourists here. 80% of the guests is Spanish. The hotel has 10 cabins...

We had an unforgettable experience at this beautiful countryside stay. There is a lot of emphasis on the architecture of the place. A lot of thought was put into the restoration of the building as well as the minimalist design. This is a place for people who love the countryside and at the same time like a touch of modernity....

Early june 2014 we stayed for a few days in Consolacion. It was one of " the very best hotel experience". Great hotel, great service, great nature. Thank you Gloria and Ricardo for the good service, the nice cube, the touristic tips, the fine food, the candles, the late-night-coffee in your kitchen, but above all thank you for your friendliness. We loved this place - but might not be for everyone. Sitting in a slightly remote areas west of Barcelona, its a beautiful location perched on top of a gorgeous valley. Not quite as swept away by this place as some of the previous reviewers. In essence, it is a unique experience being so close to nature. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ours is not a “boutique hotel” although it has plenty of charm. Neither is it a country bed and breakfast, even though it is situated in the middle of a natural paradise. It is perhaps a luxury hotel, yes, but it is not luxury as we know it. Really it is a very singular hotel located in one of the most beautiful and undiscovered regions of Spain. Don't forget it's also a restaurant! ... more   less
