After staying in Barcelona for 4 days this hotel was an a welcome retreat. The first thing you might notice after settling in after being in the city is how complete the silence is. The rooms had slate floors, but they provide slippers if you didn't bring any. An in-floor bath is present. A separate shower is located in the...

We spent a wonderful night here in March, and again in April. The cubes are absolutely charming, and each are equipped with their own fireplace. While there are rooms in the main building, I would suggest a cube because it's more fun. It's a great place to come for a romantic weekend, or for a fun weekend with families and...

Staff can't do enough. Weather seriously variable but even in rain it was a delight to sit in the enormous sunken stone bath and watch the hills though floor to ceiling Windows. In the sun, just glorious, with a small but lovely pool area. We stayed in the cubes and these were wonderful and design throughout fantastic. Food just perfect.

we were looking to find something between Girona and Alicante for a one night stop over and I found this wonderful place on tablet hotels. It meant an overall longer trip as its quite a a way inland from the main coastal route south but it was well worth it. I loved the mountain roads, deserted lots of fun bends...

I was staying in Spain for a few weeks along the beach cities and decided to get out of town for a bit. Found this gem on Tablet Hotels so I knew it was going to be special. The main house is a renovated church? But we decided to stay in one of the kubes that overlook the valley. They...

Stayed one night en route from Teurel to Tarragona as it roughly half way. Looked just like the photos and had an in er room as cubes booked. I liked it for the scenery and just a nice place to chill I read first 2 chapters of Bill Clinton book. Next time I would try the Paradore. The price is...

Incredibly relaxing location, right in the heart of the countryside. Wild dawn roam the grounds! The room is hugely comfortable, excellent qualities. Love the fireplace and bath in winter. Also a great place to disconnect; even the TV is hidden away in the room (but of course available!). A perfect getaway.

Chose this hotel solely because of it's design and drove nearly 3 hours from Barcelona for a single night with my wife. Beautiful modern individual bungalows with sweeping forest views just a hundred yards away from a stunning 18th century chapel and main property with a pool, lounge area and intimate restaurant. The service was wonderful and it was incredibly...

The Consolacion is a wonderful experience. From the warmest and friendliest of greetings, to the stunning hilltop setting, via the fantastic cuisine, I have never stayed in a hotel that I have liked as much as this. I have stayed at fancier places, more expensive, more comfortable, more chic places. But the Consolacion, though it can compete on all of...

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. The views are spectacular. The decor and design inside the old exterior of the main building is trendy and modern. The "cabins" are fabulous. I enjoy how they are hidden in the landscape. One thing to watch out for; bull ants. These massive ants will invade your cabins unless...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ours is not a “boutique hotel” although it has plenty of charm. Neither is it a country bed and breakfast, even though it is situated in the middle of a natural paradise. It is perhaps a luxury hotel, yes, but it is not luxury as we know it. Really it is a very singular hotel located in one of the most beautiful and undiscovered regions of Spain. Don't forget it's also a restaurant! ... more   less
