We loved our stay at the chateau. Our room was quaint and well appointed. The grounds were beautiful. Breakfast daily was excellent. I'm not understanding how or why people can complain about the breakfast. Cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, brioche, croissants;what more could you want? It's France!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the grounds and the staff were pleasant. The room layout is...

I stayed here for one night in July with a friend. I had booked the room as a treat for her birthday.... what a huge disappointment. The room was very small and in some "out buildings". I suspect most people who book a night at a chateau expect to stay in the main building. I accept that when the confirmation...

Pros: The front desk staff was lovely and accommodating. Cons: Four stars is a bit optimistic. The rooms were worn and shabby with strange layouts and crazy bathroom spaces. The chateau is located in the middle of an industrial/commercial area. Although the grounds are extensive, which screens out a lot of the surrounding area, they are not well kept. The...

This is exactly how my girlfriend and I imagined it would be like to spend a night at a small and intimate french chateau. Very friendly staff and the room we got on the third floor was perfect. We arrived late and had not booked a table for dinner but the friendly staff managed to get us a table in...

First of all - you really need a car to get here - but when you do, you'll love it. Driving up the driveway is a real "Wow!" moment - the Chateau is just lovely. We stayed in the main building, up two twisty flights of stairs, and while our room was on the back of the hotel, we still...

Nice three day stay at La Tortiniere (in the castle itself) during a family vacation. The hotel, and its restaurant, have plenty to offer. The hotel is surrounded by a large park, allowing vista views from the rooms where we stayed. Our rooms were large and cozy, with traditional furniture pieces - very comfortable atmosphere, very quiet nights, but also...

We used to stay here many years ago on our way south and we came back after many years to try it again, its still a stunning place to stay and the owners and staff are very pleasant, we had a nice room in the main Château but they also have other rooms in the grounds, the room is very...

We stayed there with our 2 children in July and liked it overall. We had a nice room in the tower and the service was very good. Our children loved the pool and it was centrally located for the Loire castles. The only thing that really made the stay unpleasant was the restaurant at night. The prices were unreasonable and the...
