I try to avoid the word 'charming' in reviews - in my opinion it should be saved for old Italian men with a dapper suit and wingtips - however, I will bend this rule for Hotel le Solieil. In a tiny town/village/hamlet of about 500 people in a beautiful valley just over the French-Swiss border. We hiked from Gex, about...

Booked this hotel through hotels.com the day before arriving; just to find a hotel that had somehow overebooked and couldnt help us out, alhough we had a written confirmation on our booking. Had been in our car for 5 hours driving through Jura, having chosen this as our goal for the day. The little town looked like a decent spot,...

What a lovely hotel ! My husband and I arrived on the last Friday in February to a warm friendly welcome , our room was warm and cosy and just what you would ask for in this small skiing community . We ate in the brasserie bar two nights and it was superb, the tartifle was delicious and everyone was...

We stayed as a family of three and a dog. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel menu is pretty good and you can eat in either the restaurant or the less formal bar area. There are one or two other restaurants in the village plus a decent little supermarket (Sherpa). The hotel location is good -...

A 2 star family run hotel with a good restaurant. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The food is good quality and not badly priced. Unless you are a cheese freak stay clear of the fondue and the raclette. The menu de jour is particularly good value and the house wine is a passable Côte de Rhône but...

I dont know mutch about hotel, not staying in many. Buth of the hotels I have rested in, after my long journey (sofar) to compostela, this hotel has the most loveble hosts I ever had the pleasure to meet. Maybe a bit persistent about the breakfast, which I had to decline due to health reasons. She seems really dedicated to...

Visited with another couple for a ski weekend over New Year. Hotel is in a great location in a traditional French village. Ski lifts are only 5 minute walk away. Has all the facilities that you need. Rooms are a bit basic but clean and warm - good for the price. Best thing about the hotel is the attached bar...
