Very interesting golf course with incredible landscape. The room is good size. Restaurant menu is not very big and slightly pricy. The live music in the bar area is great. There are plenty of activities available but I spent most of my time on the...More
The hotel is a hidden jam. Nicely decorated in ranch style. Rooms are well maintained. Staff friendly and accurate. Just half an hour drive from the Big Bend National Park. A lot of activities are offered. They have a golf course, you can rent a...More
We stayed at the Amigos House. Loved the house and the outdoor seating area. Was a great place to watch the golfers and stars at night. Golf course was top notch and one of the most beautiful we have ever played. Challenging and fun! We...More
Our accommodations in the Officers Quarters were a bit pricey but lovely. The look is rustic with a lot of stone and wood. The sitting room is more like an enclosed porch with a very comfortable sofa and TV. The bedroom is large and has...More
We stayed at Maverick RV Resort and had a great spot, #100. The golf course was beautiful and challenging. It was hard to keep our head in the game because of the spectacular views all around. Our first trip but not our last.

BBNP is about 20miles/32kms East of Lajitas; 17 miles/27kms East on TX170 to Study Butte/TX118; turn right, go 3 miles/5kms to West entrance station. Depending upon time of year, nothing will be available for overnighting in BBNP and you’ll be a day-tripper. The closest accommodation is in Terlingua-Study Butte; next closest is Lajitas; after that, there is the very excellent/very remote (you have to go North on TX118 21kms/19miles) Longhorn Ranch Motel (432.371.2133) with superb rooms, RV Park and refreshingly brisk pool, and the exquisite TiVo’s Restaurant (definitely call ahead: 432.372.2133). Further still, I’ve stayed at the World’s most unique “La Loma Del Chivo” hostel in Marathon, the Pecan Grove RV Park in Alpine and the Paisano Pass picnic/safety rest area (US67/90).
