My partner and I stayed for one night in Mas de Baume. It couldn't have been better. The location is perfect surrounded by nature and the place is extremely beautiful, clean and relaxing. The room was cozy and well equipped. What we liked the most was the natural pool they have within the nature environment. We would definitely come back without any doubt. 100% recomendable
Absolutely stunning place in the middle of nowhere ! Arriving after driving on small roads, suddenly a beautiful stone big barn, 17th Century Farm, totally renovated with tasteful decoration ! A very warm welcome by a lovely couple cyril and Karine ! The lush surroundings makes your feel in Paradise. The Room beautifully decorated. Unfortunately when we booked we Choose the room Oliver, and ended up a too small room with two tiny windows ! Was our choice.... Otherwise everything's was perfect !
Amandine and her husband Fin could not have been more friendly & welcoming. They offered so much information on where to eat dinner and sights to see. Their attention to detail was exceptional. We also reserved a room for my partially handicapped mother in law. The room was perfect. Totally flat access to the room and also the bathroom. Fin added an extra heater for her and turned it on each evening. He also baked fresh croissants each morning for breakfast. Evening drinks by the pool as the sun set was sensational. There is no noise from any neighbours or any village. Totally peaceful stay. The rooms were very well appointed, extremely comfortable bed, reverse cycle air conditioning & TV. There is wifi throughout the hotel and poolside. There is plenty of room in the surroundings grounds for children to run and play ball games without disturbing others. We highly recommend Le Mas de Baume. ** GPS use Rosieres then follow the well placed signs. It's approx a 10 min drive from the village. …
This is a beautiful place, it takes a while to find the way to this hotel but it is worth it. The area is quiet and peaceful, far from big villages and a perfect option to visit the region. The hotel itself looks more like a guest-house, so you get the best of both world: professionalism of an Hotel staff and friendliness of a Guest House. The natural pool is fun, not too big but a great idea for an ecological swim. The hotel is very big with not too many rooms. Breakfast is excellent and not too expensive. You have plenty of stuff at your disposal: bikes, pool table, babyfoot, games etc... The only aspect I was not very fond of is the decoration of the rooms which to me was too much of a mix of different styles. However I highly recommend the place.
The Mas de Baume is a beautifuly renovated 17th century stone farmhouse in the Ardeche region of France. Our room was lovely, the breakfasts delicious, and the couple who manages it, Amandine and Finn (he's of Norwegian descent), were very helpful in recommending places to visit and especially restaurants for dinner-- even making reservations. The landscaping around the Mas and in particular around the small pool are lovely. The only drawback is the several mile-long narrow winding road leading to the Mas. If you go out for dinner and have to drive back in the dark (as we did in mid-September), make sure you haven't indulged too much.
