Pool was nice, water cool by our standards, but nice to cool off in. Well maintained property. Breakfast was amazing, the choices were overwhelming....the options unlimited and delicious. I was decadent enough to have tiramisu every morning! The women serving it are so gracious and kind! Room a/c and plenty large for a family with 2 tall teenagers. Cannot walk...

In a large house, typical Tuscany style yet fully modernised to the highest standard. We were made extremely welcome, even though the hotel would have closed earlier for the winter without our booking. Large grounds, with large swimming pool, terraces, all with fabulous views of the valley and all immaculately kept. This establishment should definitely have more than 3 stars,...

Our stay at the Villa was really a wonderful four days and nights. We were greeted warmly by the Senora and given a choice of two rooms. We chose room #6 with a panormico view. The room had a view of the city of Volterra and a view of the hills of Tuscany. We really enjoyed the bountiful breakfast the...

I treated my wife to the Andrea Bocelli Concert at Lajatico, near Volterra on 20th July. We arrived at Villa Rioddi on the 17th - which I discovered by netsurfing - and found that it surpassed my expectations in all aspects. The quality and cleanliness of the accommodation, the very friendly (but not in-your-face) hosts, the excellent breakfasts and the...

My husband and I just returned from a stay in Tuscany at the Villa Rioddi, and I can't say enough about this hotel. The staff are warm, friendly, inviting, and very accommodating. The level of cleanliness was at or better than any five-star hotel. The buffet breakfast left us amazed on each day of our stay, and the freshness of...

We stayed a week in Villa Rioddi, was recomended to us and stood up to the standards expected by far. The staff / owners were very friendly, explained clearly how to move around the area (Volterra and Toscana) by any means of transport, places to visit, restaurants, etc. At our arrival there were 2 rooms available and we were given...

Loved it, we had the apartment which was big enough for husband me and my two year old.The kitchen was great. All clean and comfortable. The beds were hard, but it didn't stop us sleeping. The place was quite with a great pool and gardens, the view is amazing. You need a car to get up to Volterra it is...

Nice staff, OK rooms, good facility. A bit down from the actual town of Volterra, though. There's supposed to be a steep passage that leads upwards to town, but we drove up. Also we had some difficulties finding the place. But Volterra is fantastic, with its location on a mountain top, basically. You might find accomodation within the actual city....

Stayed for a week in the apartment. This hotel is run by the son of the owner but not very well. The mother does the breakfast and the father - i am not sure what he does. Some problems. When we arrived we did not get a good feel. The carpark is a bit of a building site and there...

Early Sept. visit with great views, nice building, nice size room, bathroom ok, good breakfast, helpful owners/operators, very clean, computer available for e-mails and such. One BIG thing wrong with it was the beds were the hardest we had in Italy and the pillows were like sacks of cement. We woke up sore all over and shortened our visit. Would...
