We had one night away here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The hotel is stunning and the view from our room was amazing. We had problems with our flight which we explained to the receptionist and they delivered a bottle of champagne to us. The roof top pool was lovely, even though the weather was chilly the pool... This hotel is right off the beach and they have beach privileges where they set up your own lounges and tent cover-up. They also have a roof top pool and cafe which is very nice. A very nice breakfast is included.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and good location. Excellent breakfast choices. We had a side sea view with a balcony which was worth upgrading to. Lovely and close to the beach and good places to walk.

We stayed here for a few days in October. Check in staff were friendly and efficient and our car was taken and parked for us. Each day when we wanted it we asked reception and it was quickly brought out and parked outside the hotel. Our room on the first floor was clean and tidy and had very high ceilings... More

Everything was perfect, nothing was difficult. Staff run this hotel so well. A marvelous stay. We had an amazing balcony on the side of the hotel with views showing the Mediterranean. All information was available. Room was very well appointed, maid service was twice daily.

We unfortunately only stayed here 1 night. The hotel was great. almost on the beach. Our room over looked the Mediterranean. The staff were very nice and helpful. The dinning room also faced the Med. The food was very good and the servers also. Walked the beach a little. Hotel has a roof top bar and pool. We all wished... More

Very well located in front of the sea. Great breakfast. But classic room are nothing of a real 4/5 stars hotel.. Not at All ! Stains on the floor.. All over the bedroom.. Hoovering not well done..The bath tube is really a shame!! Black seals going away everywhere, really disgusting.. Room 503 not redone at All.. A real pity

Viareggio is only 30 minutes by train to La Spezia. Great place to stay after visiting Cinque Terre. Grand hotel Principe Di Piemonte is a 10.00 taxi ride to the train station. We had the best breakfast at the hotel

Stayed with 2 friends. We had a triple room with balcony and sea views. Lovely rooms and very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Anything we needed was dealt with promptly and courteously. The breakfast was lovely with lots of selection. We had a wonderful stay.

Just spent a very enjoyable 7 nights at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and in a very good position for the beach, restaurants, shops & bars. Breakfast is buffet - there is a large choice of cereals, pastries, fruits, cooked breakfast & breads. The only criticism, which has been mentioned on several tripadvisor reviews is the charge of 10... More

This storied luxury hotel on the seafront promenade in Viareggio is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Built in the early 1920s, restored to the height of its charm in 2004 after 19 months' refurbishment work, today the Principe is without doubt one of the world's most exclusive and refined historical hotels. The 106 rooms, including 19 suites, on five floors decorated in different styles, represent an ideal cross-section of elegant hospitality over the ages, through to the contemporary design of the sun-drenched rooftop swimming pool. The "Piccolo Principe" and "Regina" restaurants have also made their own contribution to the renown built up over the years by the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio. The Two-starred Michel restaurant "Piccolo Principe" offers sophisticated cuisine against the magnificent backdrop of the panoramic roof garden, where guests dine in summer, while the "Regina" restaurant offers traditional Tuscan fare. ... more   less
