I have just read a review of Clitunno Hotel, Spoleto from June30/2007 and wonder if it can be the same hotel. I also stayed at this hotel in June 2007 and coincidentally in the very same room#176! We found the room cool and comfortable. The bathroom was fine and there were no problems with showers. The breakfasts were varied and...

The Clitunno looks the part, and has a lot of potential, but our experience there was disappointing. Our room was tired (with very little storage space), the hot water supply was unreliable until Day 4 of the holiday, and the breakfasts are really not good. Everything served at breakfast seemed to be the cheapest possible - fruit juice so sweet...

Room storage space small and falling apart. Shower in poor condition. Meals variable - good some nights , bad others. Friendly staff. Pleasant public rooms. Lots of nearby construction work so be prepared to be woken at 6:15 a.m.!

I spent 2 weeks in Spoleto in the Spring of 2006 with a group of artists painting and drawing. We stayed at the Clitunno Hotel, a lovely place with wonderful people and great food.

Furniture is banal, there was a huge spot of humidity in the bathroom, no minibar, a bad functioning heating system. I asked for a wake-up call which I've never received. The worst point, however, was breakfast - undrinkable coffee...

We're seasoned travelers with many years of experience, and from the moment we found parking--a challenge in itself-- we had a bad feeling about this hotel. First, the hustled us on dinner, offering only a fixed price meal instead of a menu, even though a menu was available. We asked about this later they were completely unapologetic. The room was...
