To start with the positive things. This hotel is well over a 100 years old, the interior looks completetely renovated. It is very comfortable, the rooms are generously sized and the bathrooms are just fine. The hairdryer seems to be italian standard - not what I'd expect as a hairdryer, but it does work ;) I had a room with...

We stayed in hotel Wolkenstein for a ski holiday in February 2015. The hotel used to be known for its great après ski bar, but this bar recently closed. What's good: - Spacious and tidy rooms - Friendly waiters and bartender - Ok breakfast buffet - Heated skiboot storage What could be better: - Sauna is too small and easily...

Yes the floor squeaks just inside the door to Room 209. And the musty smell in the shower drain disappeared with our first shower. And it's not the best choice for someone with limited mobility. Side facing the street has pleasant view. Other side looks out at the side of a hill. Stayed four nights during the International Volksmarching Convention...

- Good dining room and very good breakfast buffet - excellent room (see details below) - excellent gluten and milkfree food, wonderfull gluten free bread (many different types, always fresh, apparently they did not mind at all to open different packages at a time), and every day the lady who took care of my food came to me at breakfast...

What 's all the fuss about!! This Hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff were helpful & friendly. There is a disco attached to the hotel. But did not keep us awake at night. We did stay in a extended chalet which consists of about 6 rooms opposite to the hotel . So just a small walk across the road...

The hotel receptionist who was also the owner was an extremely abrupt and unfriendly woman. The staff were just as ignorant. The hotel was clean and the rooms adequate. Bar area quite basic not very relaxing as the Night Club next door ( with an adjoining door) wafted in smoke (thought it was banded smoking!) all evening till the early...

I have never written a hotel review here before but I promised myself while at this hotel that I would -- so others would know what they were getting if booking at the Wolkenstein. It's not all bad, but there are some things you need to know before coming here. I'll get back to the inability to sleep later, but...

“Rooms have different qualities as I understood from our group members. We (a couple) were lucky to have a spacious and quiet one at the rear side, and far from the disco full of smoke. Bathtub, separate shower, toilet ánd bidet, perfect! We did not hear the disco at all but some friends on the third floor did, until 1 a.m. and once even until 3 a.m. Corridors still smell a bit smokey, but our room was fresh and clean. About internet: it is not announced as free, but it IS free up to 48 hours ( 6 hours a day!!)”
