We spent 3 night in Grand Hotel Des Anglais. All the negative comments I have read before my trip are very unfair. Yes, I agree that the hotel has its glory years already behind and needs a bit of renovation, but we found there everything we needed - a specious room with great view, comfy bed and seating area. The...

Very nice place to stay. Unfortunately, we spent only one night here, got an upgrade to the room with see view at second floor. The rooms is very clean, hotel staff is very helpful and smart. Very nice hotel area. The breakfast is simple, but very tasty and a good value! Highly recommend this hotel'

We stayed at this gem of a hotel twice and each time were delighted with the service and the rooms we got. The hotel looks grand is is full of history, the rooms may not be the most modern but they have a soul, they are spacious, comfortable, with magnificent sea views. The buffet breakfast is great. And to top...

I adore this hotel...a bit of a faded grand dame, but high on a hill overlooking the sea and an architectural jewel on the exterior...a few minutes walk to the city. The room is adequate and clean, and the breakfast is well done. But the strength and charm of this hotel is the staff..friendly, and totally accommodating. We were there...

Had the pleasure to stay here in August for 12 days. Old, huge stately hotel. Awesome sea view from our room which was spacious and bright. AC worked fantastically. Hotel needs a little TLC both within and outside the grounds. Our room also could have had a make-over (paint, bathroom needs upgrading) but was very clean. I believe the hotel...

A bit disappointed, yes a very grand hotel , the rooms are basic only a shower, no information in the room of any kind with ref to facilities , the air conditioning didn't work and also no wifi in the rooms. Breakfast was ok but I expected a better quality and more choice for this type of establishment. At this...

Two times I stayed in the hotel, and I enjoyed each day. The hotel has conserved much of the old stile. But the rooms are up to date and very comfortable. Great views from all rooms (See picture) The lobby and the dining rooms are very stylish, resembling the time, when the hotel was build. Everybody working at the hotel...

This is not a "modern" place with everything new. If you are going there expecting that you will be disappointed. It has "old world" glamour. It is clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderful. I cannot say enough about the staff and how wonderful and friendly they were.... I felt, given the price point, this place...

My husband and I stayed here for the night while on route to Rome. The hotel is on a hill overlooking the sea. We also got a room with sea view, which was very nice. The hotel has history and the floor creaks as you walk on it, but overall it is kept very clean and fresh. The reception area...

The Grand is an impressive looking hotel from the outside, the reception area and restaurant have high ceilings, beautiful decorative detailing and gliding staircases. It feels magnificently old world colonial. It must be said that elsewhere there is a fair amount of work required to bring it back to its former glory but we understand there is a program of...
