A convent of the XV century restored on this elegant italian charming hotel of 4 stars. The really quite 13 rooms ( 2 singles + 9 doubles + 2 junior suites) to live in the history of the Marquis. The amazing restaurant to tast the local food and wine of Piedmont. The wonderful conference room with a fresco of 1400 to make magical your event. The scenographic and evocative Cloister ideal for meditation. The unique and incomparable hotel in the mediaval side of Saluzzo.

We visited Saluzzo in July for three nights and chose to stay at the San Giovanni Hotel. It’s a beautiful converted monastery that has retained a wonderful peacefulness. We followed the map provided by the hotel and found our way without a problem and parked in the hotel car park. Check in was swift and our room delightful with wonderful views across the rooftops. We had breakfast in the courtyard each morning, breakfast was lovely. Saluzzo has some great restaurants, the one in the hotel was the best, I’ll review that separately but all I would say here is make a reservation for this once you check in to the hotel.

If you are staying in Bellagio, you must have lunch/dinner at Silvio which is a 20-25 minute walk from Bellagio township. On the way, stop off to look at the beautiful Giardini Di Villa Melzi. It costs 6.50 Euro per person to get in but worth it. The gardens are beautiful and present a fabulous backdrop for photos. There is a neo-classical Villa on the grounds but you cannot go inside. The restaurant service is wonderful especially if Darious serves you, the wines are small in selection but great choices and the food beautifully cooked. We enjoyed our meal immensely.

Wow! We arrived in the spectacular town of Saluzzo, Italy and began our search for this hotel. I will admit that it was very tricky to find, but they send you a map that helps a little...just breathe and enjoy the maze! That being said, it was SO worth the effort of finding it!! Our bedroom actually had original frescoes from 1500!!! It's a true feast for the eyes and everyone couldn't have been more accommodating! I don't remember the name of the sweet, young lady who greeted us and showed us our room, but she was lovely and also booked our reservation in their spectacular restaurant. Alberto Fiorini was awesome and kept us entertained during their yummy breakfast. I'm sad we only stayed 1 night, next time we will be there longer!

This is a converted 16th century building and it is truly fantastic. Tastefully renovated in keeping with the buildings age, fantastically friendly staff and a nice little bar to boot, I love this place. It has without a doubt the absolute best breakfast of any hotel I’ve stayed at in Piedmont, I wake up early thinking about the breakfast (I’m not proud about that) If you’re a foreigner like me following directions on your phone the best of luck finding it you’ll need it

Saluzzo is a beautiful town, however San Giovanni is right at the top and a steep walk down to the town and then back up to the hotel. We could not get a table at the restaurant in the hotel and had to walk down to the town again in the evening in order to eat. Surely hotel guests should have preference to walk ins off the street. The rooms were small and the towels had an odd odour. The portable air conditioner was loud and blocked access to that side of the bed. Breakfast was average. The court yard was peaceful to sit and have an afternoon drink at.

Thanks for yr review. We are sorry you didn’t eat at our restaurant because any table was available. Why you didn’t book the restaurant at the same time you book the room? Our restaurant has a capacity max of 70 places and the max capacity on the room is of 25 guests; do you think this ratio is not enough? I believe is a correct ratio. Others good restaurant are at a distance of 200 mts, but if you don’t book nothing it’s possible that the best ones are fully booked (specially on Saturday & Friday). Piedmont is very famous for his food and wine, so if you like to choose the restaurant I suggest you to book a table some days before.
