Michele and Ester runs this lovely B&B in-between Rio Marina and Cavo . We came back for a week this year , last years two nights stay was to short. Where to start, our modern apartment had all the basic amenities that one needs for a very comfortable stay. A midweek cleaning was included. We opted not to have their breakfast this time but it looked as delicious as last year. The beach is very nice with the black sand and if you get tired of it Elba is full of beaches to be explored. Nice restaurant options in Cavo and Rio Marina. We have made plans to return next year for a even longer stay.

Stayed here for a few days in mid September and glad we did. The room was large and had a fully equipped kitchenette. The owner gave us lots of good tips, directions, suggestions and was available any time. After exploring the island and looking for the best beaches we realized that their private beach was the best choice. Highly recommend

It sits in a small forest 50 mt away from the see. You can spend whole day in the garden or in the nearby beach which is never crowded. Rooms are very well equipped and very clean. If you stay in one the rooms with kitchen, you can shop from a nearby ( 15 minutes by car ) supermarket and have lunch or dinner in the garden. Cavo and Rio Marina towns are both 10-15 minutes drive and you can find very nice restaurants and other nice places to visit. Ester and Michele are both very nice and helpful about anything you may need. You can get advise from them about where you can visit, where you can do shopping, where you can eat, etc.

We stayed one week in capo pero, and the place was exactly what we have been looking for. The house has been renovated in an extremely clever way and is in the middle of a beautiful park, with birds giving you a private concert every night. We liked a lot the modern style that respects the history of the mining house. It feels very remote and secluded, but is actually quite close to the nearby towns of Rio Marina and Cavo. There are many beautiful beaches in Elba, but the "private beach" next to the B&B is a very special kind of beach I had never seen before...500 m on the other side, one can find another beach with a completely different caracter. The hosts are extremely welcoming and helpful when you need them, both before and during your holiday. The breakfast was very tasty and varied (home-baked cake and fresh bread-rolls every morning) As a particularity, we travelled without a car, and it all worked like a charm ! We traveled there by train and ferry. We moved around the Island with the local busses, by walking, and with bikes. Also here, we have been offered help on all aspects of our trip by the hosts (bus timetables, how to buy tickets, pick-up service from/to ferry upon arrival/departure). A big plus: we were provided with the bikes by the hosts, which was extremely convenient !!!! If you are looking for something a bit away from the main touristic locations set in the middle of nature, than this is the place to go. If we come back to Elba, I would definitly stay again at Capo Pero. Thank you a lot Michele and Ester !

This place is wonderfully restored and well put together, with cleverly and tastefully decorated rooms. The location is second-to-none, with the historic ex-mine-managers house set in its own gardens with access to a private beach that although not your usual postcard strip, has its own charm and special properties (Will let the host fill you in on that one!). The hosts are amiable and talkative when you want them to be and very helpful for restaurant and activity bookings, incluiding getting you a discount at most places, even for the ferry! A great place for comfort and practicality, but with that slight "middle-of-nowhere" feeling. Despite being nicely out of the way, this place has excellent wifi and mobile coverage.
