Excellent hotel, supremely helpful and friendly staff. My only criticism is that there are not a great deal of vegetarian options at dinner. I felt extremely well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Marina goes above and beyond her duties to keep everyone happy.
We had friends that had stayed at the Belvedere. We really wanted a nice place to go to for a bike vacation. What a dream. We met folks there that had been coming back for 18 years. I can see why. The daily guided rides, up to 5 a day, were the best. Great guides, interesting routes, so much history, scenery and food along the way. Every day we started with a really great complete breakfast, then a guided ride followed by the 'Biker' lunch, which was almost like dinner, but in the early afternoon. Of course, there is a great bar, pool and spa for everyone to use. Dinner was fantastic, and always gelato available. Thursday night was a party by the pool with again, great food, music, dancing and memories. We will be back!
We had several friends recommend Hotel Belvedere as a great cycling vacation so we were really looking forward to this trip - The excellent accommodations, great daily rides, delicious food, theme nights and fantastic service exceeded our expectations! A few highlights: *We stayed in the mini-glamour room - newly renovated with flat screen TV, blackout shutters, lots of closet space, safe, mini-fridge. Very large for a European hotel room, with excellent AC. *3-5 different cycling itineraries daily to choose from (with varying distance, speed, elevation gain), all with excellent guides, snacks, electrolytes provided. Mechanical support is on site daily if you need anything done for your bike. *All-inclusive meals served buffet style with fresh, local choices with plenty of variety everyday that did not skimp on quality ingredients - we aren't vegetarian but if you were you would be fine. We are foodies and were satisfied overall with how well-prepared all of the meals were - not fancy, but simple and delicious. *A lovely spa and pool fully included in the room cost with Dead Sea salt bath, wet and dry sauna, hot/cold foot bath; full array of massages available at reasonable extra cost (i got the Balinese massage which was a great deep tissue massage after a week of riding) *Theme nights and cultural outings: Muretti Farm for wine tasting and lunch; Cheese Tasting; Pasta making lesson; Cocktail making lesson; Pool party with DJ and amazing lobster and seafood dinner; Homemade piadina and paella *Daily cocktail hour with complimentary appetizers by the pool *A block away from the beach where there are endless places to lounge on a chair under an umbrella for a small fee; the water was fine for swimming. Walking distance to loads of restaurants, bars and shopping. *!5 min walk to the Riccione train station - we went to Bologna for a day trip (!0 euro return). Marina and her team are like family but provide top notch service, going above and beyond on multiple occasions: We needed COVID-19 PCR tests prior to travelling back to Canada and Marina's husband drove us to the lab to get the tests, and returned to pick up our test results for us! Since we were there during our 30th wedding anniversary, they set up a special table for us poolside for dinner and brought us a complimentary bottle of prosecco and a lovely cake from a special bakery in Riccione to celebrate. Even before we arrived, they were super responsive over email and they followed up with us after our departure to make sure we got our PCR test results on time. We have been on many organized, high-end cycling vacations in the past (Backroads, B&R). While you don't get the sag van with the catered snack stops, and you'll have to pay extra for the rented bikes (De Rosa - excellent bikes), all in all this was a high quality bike holiday at a fraction of the price. We are already starting to plan our next visit back!…
This is an amazing hotel! The staff is attentive without being overbearing. The Hotel itself is impeccable. The food was of the the highest quality. Regional specialities, were amazing. Unmatched fora cycling holiday. The owner Marina is on site, and is the most welcoming and incredible host. No detail is ever overlooked. After spending more than a year traveling around the world, I can honestly say that the Hotel Belvedere is one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed at. The bonus is that you also get a great value as well.
We visited the Belvedere after a few years away and once again had yet another fantastic experience. The warmest of welcomes from Marina, the friendliness and service orientation of all the team, the excellent food, the standard of cleanliness throughout and of course the professionalism of the cycling guides together make this an incredibly enjoyable vacation. Location of the hotel is just 10mins walk from the centre the town, and 2 mins walk to the beach. If cycling is not your thing, no worries, there are many other options to meet your needs. Looking forward to the next visit!.
