This is our third visit to Villa Rigacci and there must be a reason for that ! Frederico and his wife are charming hosts and Frederico is as amusing as he is helpful! Don't expect polish and attentiveness - this is an establishment which oozes laid back, rustic and convivial. The pace is slow. There's time to smell your coffee....... More

Stopped for final Tuscan lunch at the end of a glorious week , so only experienced the outside dining in midday heat ( 36 degrees) . Frankly I was disappointed . Choice was very limited , and my one glass of Chianti not good. My tomato and mozzarella salad and two wrinkled basil leaves could have been more enticing .... More

We found Villa Rigacci when browsing in the internet looking for an hotel well located in Tuscany with swimming pool and good environment so we could have a relaxing break after each trip in Tuscany. It was a great choice. From the booking until the check out, the experience was great. We were warmly welcomed by Frederico and Kirsten. During... More

Enjoyed our stay, particularly using the fabulous pool and the nice grounds for our toddlers to run around. No problems with the two-room suite but overall the place has a slightly jaded feel - creaking beds, peeling stucco - that not reflected in pricing. Had a fabulous bottle of Chianti and grilled porcini - but also a sloppy melanzane parmigiana... More

We were on a driving holiday and were driving from Portofino to Florence when we stayed one night at Villa Rigacci. Wish we could have stayed longer. There is much countryside to enjoy and outdoor meals to be had - none of which we could enjoy due to rain. The building itself is over 500 years old and well maintained.... More

What a place!! And what a difference from the awful hotel in pomezia I had been the night before. This villa is so old around 500 years. It's very quirky and in the most beautiful Tuscan setting. The Pool is lovely and Maxi their colli is my new best friend and followed me everywhere. He loved me swimming and even... More

We spent two nights at villa Rigacci. It is quite far from everything so you will need a car. And we didn't find anything interesting in the surrounding. April was off season and the outside terrace and pool had not been opened yet. A quite and traditional place with friendly staff. You could say its it is a little bit... More

The title says it all, this was definitely a good holiday...as long as we're not have to be to much in the room. The space was perfect but the room was very old and not very clean. We had a studio on the first floor. The space was perfect (!) We traveled with a little baby so the extra space... More

We arrived about 10pm from Lugano one Friday night. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner Frederico. He is amazingly friendly and by 10:30pm we were already tucking into the best Fiorentine steak I have every had, with copious amounts of local red wine. In sunlight the next day the lovely peaceful location and gorgeous buildings of Villa Rigacci... More
