The hotel is located in the country, so you will need a car/transportation. Our room was modern, specious and the bathroom was well appointed. The public spaces are great. While we did not use the pool, we walked around and thought it would be a great place to relax. Breakfast was very good. We also ate at the hotel restaurant... More

This was my second stay in Poggio del Sole after being there in 2014. The place is nice, very clean and comfortable. Did not visit in the summer season when, I believe, the place has its full potential as there is a lovely swimming pool on site. My only suggestion is that the fitness centre could be better equipped. The... More

Our stay at the Poggio del Sol came at about three quarters through our trip to Sicily and it was a welcome respite from an action packed itinerary. After a day touring the Baroque Hill town of Ragusa, Noto and Modica, the Poggio provided a convenient place to stay. The staff is English speaking, efficient and friendly. The hotel has... More

Our room was large with lots of seating and desk space. Common rooms were modern and spacious. We had a good dinner in the Maize dining room. The pool is not really designed for lap swimming, but is fine for cooling off. Breakfast was so-so.

This is a road side hotel that is 3 stars at best. We were unimpressed and disappointed with this stop on our trip. Our air conditioning unit was controlled by the front desk and turned off during the night. We called to the front desk to complain and were ignored. It was extremely hot in September in Sicily and our... More

We had to go right after the check-in and they brought our suitcases right in our room. Morning was a bit noisy as walls are thin so if there are groups living on the floor (like wedding guests or smth) beware as they may run around. Next day we had a great traditional pasta with almost alive shrimps at the... More

Surroundings are not welcoming. Unfortuntely, we were assigned a room, which definitely looked different to those shown in the pictures. The curtain was the only blur of color. No blanket prepared (maybe due to the hot weather, but there is an air conditioning in the room, so, a normal blanket instead of thin sheet would have been more comfortable). Coffee... More

The Poggio del Sole is clean, modern, spacious, but unimaginative, and somehow just doesn't seem "Italian". The breakfast was pretty good, and the dining room large. The hotel was being used by several tour groups, but they really caused no additional noise or congestion. The garden and pool area is especially nice and worth a walk.

The hotel was a stopping point on a tour through Sicily. One night was more than enough. The countryside was beautiful. From the exterior, it looked quaint. The lobby was beautiful. The rooms were like an American Motel 6 with all of the charm of listening to your neighbor showering. The decor was spartan and appeared designed by Ikea. The... More
