My Wife, a donna romana, and I just finished a two week stay at the Hotel Baia Di Nora. In terms of professionals, ambiance, beach, and restaurant the hotel was outstanding. It was a real pleasure to stay at the Hotel Baia di Nora, especially in these turbulent times. First, and foremost the hotel staff did everything within their power to make our stay safe. They observed continuously proper and common sense precautions to guard against the virus. A few more detailed comments below. Professionals - Quite a splendid lot of workers in all positions from the front desk, cleaning staff, restaurant, beach and gardeners who are most pleasant, helpful and hard working. Ambiance - The grounds and garden are spectacular: the plants and trees are woven into a real story and support the marvelous wildlife they provide refuge for, as well as the human sensory pleasures. Beach - Beautiful sea and outstanding white sandy beach. The umbrellas are arrayed in two continuous groups parallel to the beach consisting of long lines ~ of 4 rows with a Width distance of ~ 40 meters from the first to last row. All rows receive the fantastic wind when it blows. With this configuration there is not a problem being in the last row versus the first row. Restaurant - A truly fantastic experience: the buffet was required to change because of the new regulations and the changes the hotel made transformed it into a very positive experience. Additionally, outstanding lunch and dinner menus were available for selection at breakfast to optimize food purchase and preparation, as well as to begin the process of the mouth watering for the fantastic dinner of Sardinian pastas and meat/fish selections coupled with moderately priced great wine offer. They provided full vegetarian and vegan menus with very good selections (according to My Wife). A truly amazing experience. My Wife and I intend to go back for our fourth visit next year. A special thanks to their great communicator Gianmauro who, during the long weeks of lock down, provided valuable information concerning the status of the hotel with respect to its opening. …
I really don’t like to give poor reviews but I feel I have to in this instance. I appreciate we arrived just as the hotel has opened and also in the current situation but this does not excuse the poor level of service. We stayed in 3 other hotels on this trip prior to this one which were absolutely amazing. We had prepaid £235 for one night as our flight was the following day. We arrived at 2pm one hour ahead of check in which the hotel said in this instance was fine. The man on reception handed us the key and pointed from the door of reception down a path and said your room is down there. He didn’t show us to the room or help with the bags and he didn’t show us where the pool or restaurant were. We located the room and pulled our bags up a flight of about 15 steps. When we entered it did smell musty and there was a huge wasp in the bathroom. I pulled back the sheets on the bed and a spider ran across the sheet in the bed. Flat hard pillows just one each and a brown blanket. Not sure the room had been checked recently. Wi-fi not explained and we found no connection anyway or a code. We found our way to the beach and there were rows of empty sun beds and chairs, just one lady on a sun bed. The hotel attendant looked at his map of availability which was very strange in the circumstances and told us we could have a deckchair but we would have to pay more for a sun bed. What a joke! It was empty! Pay for the use of a hotel sun bed which we have just paid £235 for one night bed and breakfast. We went back and lay on a bed by the pool which was free. There was a menu hanging off the the parasol for drinks and snacks. No one about so I walked up the little path to the bar. I asked for 2 glasses of wine and a tuna sandwich and said we were sat by the pool just 30 yards away. He said he would prepare and bring to us. We waited patiently for 30 minutes but no one appeared with our wine or sandwich. I walked back to the bar and there was a lady working now. I asked what was happening with our order. She said oh we made a mistake and don’t serve to the pool at the moment but the order was ready a long time ago and I could take there myself. She said the other waiter just said they’ll get bored of waiting and come back for it. Unbelievable! I asked why she couldn’t just walk down the little path and tell me this and she just shrugged her shoulders. There were no customers at all this was ridiculous. We saw less than 10 guests that day so why the poor treatment? Every other hotel had been so welcoming. They should have stayed closed as it actually felt like they resented us staying. This is not a 4 star hotel it is 2 stars. The pool was the one thing we did like and the local town Pula. We were hardly going to have dinner in the hotel after our lunch experience. It was dreadful and I’m so relieved we only had one night.…
We had a great time staying at Baia DI Nora in August with our 1 year old baby! The food was excellent (specially the Italian pasta!), the staff was really nice and professional (except at the beach..). Room was spacious and ideal with a baby. The Garden is beautiful and beach is clean. However,The village (PULA) is very small and nothing very interesting to visit... perfect for a one week stay or better to rent a car to discover the area.
I stayed at the Baia di Nora for three days in June 2019 and it had been fantastic! I didn't want to leave. I was there with my mum and we stayed in a beautiful superior room with patio. I had been there before for a couple of hours and I knew already it was a beautiful place but that does not describe it all. First, all the personnel, from reception to restaurant, to the beach and swimming pool was super nice, always! They made us feel like the main guest at the hotel! There was a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere everywhere. The beach is small but nice, clean and with a very nice crew, the swimming pool is really beautiful and to appreciate the beauty of it, one must swim in it! The gardens were so clean and tidy that it looked like Japan....there wasn't a leaf on the ground. Rooms were spotlessly clean and really classy. Food at the restaurant was very good, simple cooking but very tasty, with a great variety of choice. The waiters and maitre were always super attentive and made sure everything was right. We really enjoyed our holiday and I am so looking forward to get back and hopefully to get married there! I would really like to thank everyone for giving us such a wonderful stay and most of all Mr. Pantaleo for being always so kind to accomodate my requests!…
The hotel is nicely laid out with beautiful gardens, nice beach and pool and close to Nora excavation, there is some rather aged life music. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Dinner is not very special but good.
