What a gracious host - thank you Carlo. Our stay was fleeting, just one night but the room was large and the bathroom clean. Definately good value for money and a pity we could not stay longer. Views from the upstairs terrace were beautiful, definately request one of the rooms with a terrace if they are available, unfortunatley they were...

I stayed here during a 5 day visit to Positano. The owner was very nice and gracious and accommodating. Since this is budget accommodations, I didn't expect magnificence, but still I didn't appreciate the moldy smell emanating from the bathroom or the mini-floods if you showered too long. Also, you had to request a fan be placed in your room....

Stayed with wife and twenty odd year old daughter for 4 nights in April 2011. Carlo the owner was a most gracious host who provided basic accomodation at a great price. We had a balcony view room for 3 for 100 Euro's a night, impossible to find this price anywhere else in Positano with the view that we had. The...

Can't say enough about the graciousness of Carlo the owner of this gem of a pensione. Our room had a balcony overlooking the water with fresh breezes coming in. The price is right, the room was clean, lovely, and situated at the top of the long wandering road heading through town. Carlo helped us in every way by offering great...

Here's all the important stuff with no fluff. 1. Location - is great. It is above Fornillo Beach - recommended!! - there are stairs heading down. It is about halfway up the hill and yes there are a few stairs down but if your in Positano, then thats to be expected. 2. Rooms - are excellent value for the price....

Such a beautiful town! Staff were wonderful hosts and very helpful. Location was fantastic and easy walking distance to the beach/shops etc (keeping in mind that Positano is very hilly with lots of steps and slopes). Some great restuarants close by (both owned by Carlo's sister but we tried them both and really liked them). Breakfast wasn't provided but plently...

My wife & I stayed for 3 nights at Pensione Maria Luisa in late September 2010. Carlo, the owner, is one of the few people in the whole of Italy who actually understands what the term 'customer service' means. It was always a delight to be greeted by his smiling face & caring nature each morning. When we checked out...

What a find! After several trips to Italy, we thought we'd better find out what all the fuss was about the Amalfi Coast and Positano. We wanted to maintain a reasonable budget so followed the advice of the many previous reviewers here by staying at Pensione Maria Luisa. We were absolutely delighted! We just couldn't get enough of our balcony...

Upon arriving we were greeted by the happy, friendly and helpful Carlo. The rooms with a sea view have an amazing view and you can have your own terrace/balcony. Location wise, it is not on the overly tourist side which is much easier for accessing the quieter secondary beach. There is a convenience store a short walk away which you...

Stayed here for five nights, during our anniversary trip to Positano. We had a double with shower/toilet in the room. I think it's great that this hotel is a little higher up, so it's quite far away from the MAIN touristy area (although Positano is touristy everywhere, I guess). It's a stone's throw away from a great restaurant (Saraceno D'Oro---that...
