Comfortable rooms, we had a huge and wonderful patio. Unbelievable water view. I actually enjoyed not staying right in the Cinque Terre. Easy to get to the touristy areas from Porto Venere, and you avoid the crowds. But the main problem was the Internet connection. Had to go to the lobby, didn't even work in the BAR!! Small problem, but...

The hotel is located about half a mile from the port but there are small shops and restaurants nearby. Also within a short walk is the Supermercato where you can buy some cheese, pesto, grappa and wine all reasonably priced. The cleaning service is quick and efficient. Though cleaners leave a lingering odor. Breakfast is rather lackluster as is the...

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Royal Sporting Hotel in Porto Venere. The hotel reminded me a little of the luxury of years past that has lost a little of its luster. We had a nice room with a balcony that looked directly onto an inlet affectionately called 'The Gulf of Poets'. I can see why - the...

Great location. Walking distance from the harbor to take the boats to Cinque Terre. Breakfast was wonderful with variety of options. Rooms were clean and we had a balcony. The only negative thing is internet didn't work well in the room and had to go to the lobby to get wifi. Other than that. Enjoy PortoVenere, it's sooo beautiful and...

Spent two nights on this hotel. The location was good, and it is a good starting point for visiting Cinque Terre. Other positive things with this hotel was the breakfast, swimming pool and the hotel does also offer valet parking. On the other side, the hotel has more negative than positive things. The hotel is very old and definitely need a...

The hotel rooms need renovation. Beds have seen better times, let's say at time of the first Gulf War. Same for the furniture. The personnel is average, but could be kinder in a 4* hotels that names itself "Royal". Price is way too high. Wifi not working in the rooms. Come on this is 2016... Breakfast is good. And that's...

Came hoping for a bit of luxury and care in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the desk staff have been unhelpful ( not even a map of cinque terrace) and the whole place is a little tired. Daughter upset with the very uncomfortable child bed, pokey room and lack of view/ balcony. Mean with the WiFi. Hoping breakfast will be good.

This tel is right on the water- across the road from the beach has a swimming pool. Nice helpful staff - very pleasant. The hotel is overpriced for a room with a sea view but our room did not have a balcony which was disappointing. The hotel is within walking distance to many of the attractions in this little beautiful...

This is a older hotel that needs some updating -- be careful you don't slip on the old rugs laying everywhere. Our room was tiny and dark, bathroom reminded me of a cruise ship - so don't drop the soap. We also had a great view of a "playground." If you plan on using the fitness room, be sure to...
