Great hotel, we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with private pool. Very nice and private. However we left a Kenzo jumper at the hotel. Called the hotel they said they had it and would send it to our address. They then refused to send it and stoped answering emails and decided to keep for themselves (thanks for that guys!).

We stayed 3 nights in this nice hotel, location and view are amazing espaciaaly early morning and end of the day (and of course busy beach during holiday season). After some difficulties to manage our arrival, the hotel made a big effort to recover thesituation and to make make sure that we did spend 3 very nice days in Baia Bianca Suites.

I booked a room on official web-page of the hotel end of March (3 months prior to visit) and got a confirmation of my booking. 3 weeks later I was contacted by the sales manager of the hotel and she informed me that this summer they don't work with the credit card, with which I guaranteed my booking. I checked again the web page and this card (Diners Club) was still mentioned as accepted at this hotel. After several days of communication we didn't come to conclusion, suitable for both sides and then 2 month long no reply from the hotel at all. Three days prior to my planned visit end of June I wrote to the hotel and they informed me about cancelation of my booking!!! At the beginning of high season in Italy!!! If Baia Bianca was a hostel somewhere middle of nowhere this matter of communication could be fine (you don't expect much), but from the 5 star hotel with over EUR 800 per night it is not acceptable no way!!!! Such "cool" hotel provides false and wrong information on the official web page and doesn't care about notifying guests about booking cancelation. NEVER EVER - the worst experience in all my travelings!!

This is a six star location for an equivalent price (relative to other places on Elba). It was worth every cent. Italy in summer, even on an island, is heavily populated. To have the luxury of reserved private umbrellas and chairs on the beach, quiet early morning swims with fishes before the hordes descend, and evenings of quiet, perfect sunsets over an Aperol Spritz... Wonderful memories to reflect now we have returned to a wintry climate. We stayed for a week. Not everything was perfect. We suggest better directions to the venue on the website, so one is not reliant on a mobile device. We had arrival dramas when Siri went 'off-piste'. It was very stressful after a ferry trip, narrow road, crappy hire car and heatwave. Our hosts struggled with our panicked English when we phoned to say 'we are lost'. (But they picked up the pieces beautifully when we arrived - slotting us in for dinner and parking our car). We enjoyed and recommend half-board, but this sometimes only came with half-service (e.g. left to fend for ourselves after mains). This led to frequent, charming apologies from our host. But, after assessing the total experience, I have given 5 stars. Tip: If exploring the island, do so in the morning (essentially a one-way road with everyone arriving from 10 am, so leave early and avoid the traffic). Then return after lunch for a siesta, sunbake and swims in sea water and/or pool. Aperol Spritz at beach side bar a must.

Sea view suite was wonderful, fantastic view over the premises and the entire bay with its Turkoise waters. Staff is very accommodating, what a major undertaking to keep this property spic and span for only 40-50 guests!! Roof top restaurant wasn't open which was a bit of a downer however...they invited us to dine up there on our last evening and we enjoyed every minute up there. Great staff at the restaurant, super courteous and always addressed us by name. Being Villa Ottone guests for 2 decades we were very happy to find another property nearby with a totally different atmosphere. We will return without a doubt!!
