"ARTEMURA RESIDENCE" Pistoia's solution for upscale hospitality in the heart of Tuscany! Thanks to the recent renovation of the new luxurious "Residence Artemura", in the historical Palazzo Fancelli, located in the heart of Pistoia, you have more reasons to include this enchanting town in your Tuscan itineraries. " Artemura", with its 20 apartments, each one characterized by different style and furnishing, is the unique luxury Residence at Pistoia. Some of them have a 360° panoramic view of the entire town, others have a large terrace facing our private garden. The Tuscan style defines the architecture, relying on ethnic influences which not only remark the design, but also create a characteristic and relaxing environment. A renewed architectural style and a fine furniture give each apartment a special and subtle atmosphere. From the main entrance of the building, your sight is taken by a green spot seeming to invite you to get closer to it. A few steps along the hall, whose ceiling is decorated by XVIII century "frescoes", and you'll find yourself in our charming inside garden. Hidden and secret like a treasure, it's also the ideal place for weddings and special events; an oval shape of 1000 metres, which frames the Fabroniana Library and the apse of St. Andrew church, famous for the XIII century pulpit by G.Pisano and where you can really relax and enjoy yourself. The " Artemura Residence" is located in the heart of the town, at only 10 minutes walk from the train station and just a couple of kilometres from the A11 highway. Pistoia, whose origins go back to the Etruscan civilization offers guests a pleasant blend of history, art and folklore.Today, the town is a perfect departure point for those wishing to tour our region and visit nearby interesting places such as Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Montecatini Spa, and Chianti area, all within short driving distance and easily accessible by public transportation. . The apartments (one, two and three bedrooms) are available for nightly, weekly or monthly rental. For the convenience of guests, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and Internet are available in all the apartments as well as hair dryer, shower and/or bathtub in all bathrooms.

We stayed at the residence Artemura for three nights mainly because it had a train link to Florence, however, Pistoia seems to be an interesting place in its own right. We were on the top floor (3rd floor), and it was very quiet with beautiful views over the mountains and an ancient bell tower. There was also a garden which is used for events like weddings. The apartment was comfortable with one bedroom and a sofa bed in the sitting room. It was attractively decorated, and had air conditioning (which we needed). It did keep the heat in the daytime, so when we came in from a day out it was very warm. We could walk to a big supermarket, and to the station to get into Florence. It's in the town centre so you need a special permit to park. It's well placed for the restaurants and shops.

We were in Pistoia for the Blues Festival and wanted somewhere we could easily get back to after the concert. The hotel is very central in Pistoia and they provide residents permits so you can park close by. The rooms are sizeable with all of the basics provided. Oddly our continental adapters didn't fit the sockets but we managed. The manager was very helpful on our arrival and met us near our car and took us to the hotel. My husband would have preferred a place with air con but it was fine for me. We stayed at a busy time so the streets were noisier than usual, overall I'd recommend the place

I have stayed in nearly all the hotels in Pistoia and the surrounding areas and I can say that Artemura is the best by a long margin. Its central location and unique aspect of having a beautiful garden in an old and historical town is not only an added bonus but allows you a haven of tranquility................... Ii chose to spend my 50th birthday here together with several of my close family and best friends..............it was an unforgettable experience ! We also stayed for a week in 2006 while attending a family wedding.
