On a small promontory of Palinuro and Caprioli (SA) in the Cilento National Park, 100 meters from the sea, stands the ancient mansion Palinuro, recently renovated cottage is nestled in a beautiful environment of a typical Mediterranean nature. The property enjoys a fabulous view, a large garden and private parking. The sandstone typical of the place with which the house was built, the parquet and ceramics from Vietri inside, together with courtesy will make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The Former residence is located just 2 km from Palinuro town center and a short walk from the sea, or rather, one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy "the beach of salt" (great for kids). All of our hotel rooms are stylish and functional rooms with air conditioning.

This was our second visit to this area and our second stay at this B&B. The position of this place is one of the best. Besides the steep hill up, you have an excellent view of all the area around. Maybe it was the end of the summer period but was sad to have found the garden always less looked after and our room, clean and pretty, but with the bidet closure that could not work, so could not use it and when this was mentioned to owner, she seemed to make us understand that it will have to remain so. Then the other thing that was unpleasant is the room we had was detached from the rest of the building, which is great as nobody passes by etc..but is surrounded by green, which is fantastic, just pity that the mosquito nets were all broken and found myself chasing mosquitos early morning hours. The other thing we personally found terrbile was the coffee. For us a good coffee is imoportant and found ourselves having to get another else where. Last time there, they used the old moka machine, which was delicious.. the smell of the perculated coffee used to wake us up. This time round the coffee was absolute off limits. Noticed that the juacuzzi out in the garden was also not working.

B&B Antica Dimora Palinuro was our best stay in southern Italy. The B&B is located on the hillside and has a stunning view. It looks over the tyrrhenian sea and the other hills. It's a very quiet area. Perfect when you want to take a break. Together with my mom, I stayed in the superior room. This is an apart little building with beautiful seaview and a terrace to enjoy it. The room was very spacious and clean, just like the bathroom. The breakfast was very rich and had everything that's needed. It is served on the big, shared terrace and also has seaview. The host Tina was very kind and helpfull. We hope to return one day and stay a little longer. Palinuro is a very cosy town.

Firstly it would be (after having been consulted by others staying) appreciated that the website states the steep hill where the B&B is situated. I do also suggest it not for small children or very elderly people. Of course the best side of this is the view. Nothing can compare. We were extremely lucky to have a sea view room as I believe there are only two. A few works are still to be done, and I'm sure once finished, will make a big difference. The garden and surroundings need more care. The room was clean and fresh and the breakfast also generous, with home made cakes. We were well looked after by our 'angel' Angela. Always smiling, efficient and caring. Thank you for having made our stay special. We will be back.

Room Tip: Our room was Nbr 5. Great View. I think the best is a self-contained cottage, sea view, but...
