Porto Vivaria was at the edge of town, at the end of a street, which means that the view over the valley areas below was just steps away. When we saw that the golden light of sunset was hitting the buildings outside our window we walked down to the wall of the city and enjoyed the incredible sunset. I'm sure...

Quiet, clean, not too modern, adjoined rooms, and just a walk into town-- we always look for this configuration when we are traveling as a family in Italy, and Porta Vivaria met all criteria. The proprietress is accessible and enthusiastic about recommending restaurants and things to do (and we found her choices to be excellent). There is also a nice...

What a cosy place to holiday! We were three hours early for check in and were greeted by a lovely host who let is leave our bags in the office while we explored! She recommended places to eat and visit. Me and my partner loved our stay here. We had the nicest room which was located just off the terrace....

Orvieto is a beautiful little town but lots to see. Traveled with 3 teenagers and we were very happy to find this B&B. Candida welcomed us with friendly big smile and very helpful - - even with her limited English, she make sure that we have everything we needed. She also gave us a tour of the place, where everything...

As we did not book room in advance, it was pleasure to find this Bed & Breakfast. Candida was very welcoming. Our room was wonderfully restored with old wooden beams adding to its charm & nicely decorated. As off second floor, we also had use of a small terrace. Happy to recommend.

I just returned from Orvieto. Staying at Porta Vivaria was so comfortable. The bathroom is complete and modern. The room has lovely old wood beams in the ceiling and is quite romantic. Fausto and his wife Valeria were charming, helpful hosts. I highly recommend this small hotel.

Porta Vivaria is in an excellent location in Orvieto. Apartments are on the top floor and were clean with reasonable prices. Breakfast was only packaged foods, so consider finding an Italian bar for coffee.

We spent one night here on our visit to Orvieto. The room was clean and large, as was the bathroom. Surprised to find both a shower and a tub. Comfortable bed, accommodating host, and an adequate breakfast made for a very pleasant stay. It is off the beaten path and a bit of a challenge for us to find in...
