I was in Montecatini for the weekend as my sons were on an orchestra tour of Tuscany - some of the parents decided we would come out and see some of the concerts so I stayed for 2 nights in the Mediterraneo, along with another couple. The location, in the tree lined streets in the North of the town, was very nice. The staff were friendly and we had a few jokes with the waitresses. My room was basic, but for the price I really can't complain - I was in a single room, I think the doubles are furnished a bit better. Thankfully the aircon worked! Breakfast was good, and we also had a couple of nice meals in the Profumo restaurant which is attached to the hotel. I was a little disappointed that the pool advertised was actually 10 minutes away in a sister hotel. All in all, it was perfectly fine for a short break. If I was staying all week I'd want something a bit better, but for the price I paid the hotel was ideal for a short break.

A small and very friendly hotel. The staff were so kind and welcoming and very attentive. The setting next to the park is great and our breakfast and evening meal eaten outside consisted of good wholesome, tasty, freshly cooked food. It is true that our single rooms could have done with an upgrade in terms of decor and fittings and were rather small but there was plentiful hot water and the rooms were very quiet and serviced superbly every day. The hotel was very clean. The air conditioning worked well. We had 5 * service from a 3* hotel and were sorry to leave. The entrance and sitting area of the hotel were very attractive and comfortable. It was great to stay in this small and simple hotel and to be served so well by such lovely staff.

We stayed at the Mediterranean for 8 days and it’s is such a nice, warm and welcoming place. The staff was so helpful and Francesca so sweet. We got a big smile from everybody every day. The breakfast was simple and very good with nice fresh fruit, bread, yogurt, very nice croissants and amazing tarts. The room was very nice, bright and cozy and spacious (we were 2 teens and two adults) I can only recommend this place where you feel welcome from the beginning. Furthermore they have an absolutely wonderful restaurant serving traditional dishes.

This is a comfortable, relaxing hotel with nothing flashy or too modern. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. All the staff are welcoming and helpful and the restaurant serves delicious food. The setting, next to the park is a real plus. Beautiful trees and birdsong with your breakfast and dinner! Definitely not a 5 star hotel but one that provides 5 star value for money and relaxation.

A small hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. They recognised their guests and greeted them like old friends. Our room was large with plenty of storage space. We had everything we needed but the room was rather "basic" in its decor, a picture or two would have perked it up no end. The bathroom and the toilet in particular were in need of upgrade. However, there was nothing that a bit of TLC would not put right. I feel I am nit-picking but we were pleased overall with the hotel and accommodation and the food was tasty and obviously "home-cooked" and fresh. We were able to have breakfast in the garden on some of the mornings which was lovely as it is adjacent to the thermal park and an idyllic setting. Thank you to the owners/managers and staff for their contribution to the success of our holiday in a beautiful area of Italy.
