About

#17 of 60 hotels in Mestre
Travellers' Choice
The hotel is situated in centre of Mestre, just 600 meters away from the main old square "Piazza Ferretto" with its very nice shops. This strategic location makes it easy to reach by car, by bus either from the railway station or from the airports of Venice ("Marco Polo Airport") and Treviso ("Sant Angelo Aiport"). Venice "Roma Square" can be reached by bus every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes during the night and the bus stop only 300 meters away from the hotel. All rooms, which have been refurnished this winter , are with private bathroom, Tv-Lcd with channels in different languages, telephone with direct line, free wi-fi internet, safe and air conditioning. The hotel provides free parking for the guests as well. A very professional staff will help the guests with all information regarding itineraries, guided tours and so on.

This hotel is everything you want and need for a trip to Venice..... We arrived at the hotel a little after 1030am. Was greeted by a lovely woman at reception, told us our room was ready and before heading out to go and see her.... at little confused we went to our room and sorted ourselves out and heading on back down. The information that we received and advice we got from this woman was incredible, really helped us plan our trips and where to eat and when the best time to visit attractions was, it was even better the fact the tram was only 5 minutes round the corner and 10 minutes in to Venice. The rooms were fantastic for what they was needed for... a bit like New York somewhere to rest your feet and head aswell and refuel. Breakfast was ok but it might have been because we woke up late and ate whatever was left... still enjoyable though. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or family if they decide they need to visit Venice too.

We booked our break through wowcher!!!! Not expecting much for the price we rocked up to SAN Carlo Hotel ‘near’ Venice at 10am On arriving we were warming greeted by the gentleman behind reception who told us our room was ready and to go and chill but before we go to Venice he had a lot of information for us. Our room was lovely, over looking a canal, freshened up we went to the front desk, the gentleman who’s English was perfect, gave us a heap of info, maps and our travel ticket to go to Venice, we bought the 48 hour all transport for 30€ each, bargain Venice was 10 mins by tram , tram was located 5 min walk from our hotel As we hadn’t booked breakfast through our travel agent we decided to get it in our hotel 7.5€ each for continental breakfast buffet AMAZING, I can honestly say I can’t fault this hotel, all staff and location Thank you San Carlo for making a cheap break so very memorable one

Purchased a last minute wowcher Holliday, including the hotel San Carlo, Mestre, Venice. As it wasn’t a bank breaking trip, we didn’t really expect much from the hotel, but upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely staff, a clean, large size room with good facilities. Staff were very helpful with transportation and information of the city. Hotel is located perfectly, 20 mins from the airport (£8pp bus ride) and a 5 minute walk away from the tram to take you to and from the heart of Venice (£3 return pp). Couldn’t fault it, will definitely be using again.

A really convenient spot to stay while exploring Venice. Don't expect luxury, this is a budget-priced place but our room was clean, spacious, light and had a large comfortable bed & everything we needed as just a place to sleep. I really hadn't expected too much for the price paid and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly but efficient welcome & overall standard. We were able to park the car, at no extra cost, right behind the hotel, & a 5 mins walk away is the fast tram service in to Venice central bus station - really easy. Best to buy the all-in ticket from hotel reception ( tram/bus & vaporetto - not cheap by far better value than buying each fare separately, and so much more convenient). Breakfast is limited but OK. For our visit the hotel w as clean and seemed well run. We'd definitely stay here again as an inexpensive base for Venice.
