We were driving around Venice 10:00pm at night trying to find a hotel and happend on Best Western Bologna Hotel. We were so tired after the drive. We walked in the lobby and first person we saw was Barbara Cancellada. She said she only had one room left but that it would be perfect for us. There were three of...

Mestre is just perfect por a 3 day-trip to Venice and Verona. An excelent hotel just 50m from the Train Station, and 10min from Venice. Avoid expensive and bad hotels. Confortable and large room and a nice restaurant. And an excelent staff. Mestre is a small city, so have dinner in Venice - or your option will be the hotel´s...

We stayed here for a night before and after a Royal Caribbean Cruise. After reading other reviews, we flew into Marco Polo airport; bought a Hello Venezia pass for the amount of time we needed and took the #15 bus from the airport to the Mestre train station. We used the #2 bus back and forth to Venice---the stop is...

I arrived at the Mestre Hotel Bologna after a bad experience at the Hotel Tritone next door. The difference between these hotels couldn’t be bigger. (read my review on tripadvisor about hotel Tritone) Hotel Bologna is modern, even if you’re a solo traveller you get a huge room with all modern equipment. The room is clean, the bathroom is super....

we stayed for 5 nights - very friendly staff, friendly and high quality furnitures, modern look, breakfast included (nothing to complain), located next to Mestre train station (8 minutes to Venice St. Luzia station), bus stop to airport (VCE) next to the hotel, free W-LAN access, we are 100% satisfied - we will come back!!!

Stayed here for three nights following our Med cruise. The location cannot be beat because it is directly across the street from the train station where you can catch a 15 minute train ride into Venice. Once in Venice, you'll realize how difficult is would have been to tote bags around and find your hotel. The other thing we had...

The perfect location to travel and see different parts of Italy after a cruise. It's a 7 minute train ride (one Euro each way, per person) to go to Venice from the hotel. The train/bus station is directly across the street. We took the bullet train to Rome and back in one day....recommend the open bus 1 hour tour when...

Hotel Bologna is opposite the Mestre railway station, has several English language channels on the TV and free email access, which was important when we were caught by the airline delays following the volcanic ash fallout. Staff will book tickets for you, consult and print off train timetables as requested and tea/coffee making facilities may be requested in your room!
