We originally were going to stay one night and ended up staying three. It was hard to leave as we liked it so much. It’s just five minutes from the Mestre train station and from there it’s only 10 minutes into Venice. From here, it’s just 15 minutes to Padua, 30 minutes to Vicenza and an hour to Verona. This is a hotel that takes health issues seriously: there’s a temperature check at the main entrance, and breakfast items from the buffet are provided to you by the friendliest staff imaginable. The lobby is calm and tasteful, providing a haven from the hustle and bustle outside. We were warmly greeted to the hotel by Benedetta, who was cheery and friendly. Her colleague on reception in the mornings, Ana, was just as charming and professional. Our room, on the top floor, the 10th, was a good size and was just perfect in every way. Very modern, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling window. It was scrupulously clean. Our room looked out over the railway station and with binoculars you could make out Venice in the distance. A bottle of water, a packet of biscuits, and a personalised note awaited us in the room. What a nice touch! Our room had a safe, fridge, espresso machine, line for hanging washing (which was welcome after a couple of weeks on the road), nice toiletries, and lovely white fluffy towels. The lifts are high tech and fast which is amazing for a hotel of this size. They’re non-touch so you just wave your room card at them, select the floor and the car comes to you. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff so friendly. One lady remembered that my husband enjoyed nectarines and she delivered some to our table the next morning. There was no stress to finish up by 10.30am and in fact, the ladies encouraged us to eat more! Mestre is not the prettiest of areas but it’s so much better staying here than paying a lot for a hotel in Venice and then dragging your bag around to get there. There is a restaurant in-house but we didn’t try it; instead we tried Da Michele’s down the road, an excellent restaurant. Highly recommended. We’d definitely come here again and we look forward to staying at Leonardo hotels in the future.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. The breakfast is good. It is close to the train station and there are a few bus stops near the hotel. You can also find good restaurants and grocery stores in the area. I can only recommend this.

We have booked this hotel because we wanted to go on a cruise in May from Venice. The cruise was cancelled and we received from this hotel the offer to send us back the money paid in advance. Instead we asked only for a voucher and booked again for October a cruise from Venice. Unfortunately this cruise was also cancelled. So we decided to come to Venice and from there to Abano Terme. The Hotel is checking your temperature before you can enter the building. We had a very nice room and the Breakfast was excellent. The reception was very friendy. We enjoyed our two nights at this modern hotel.

My husband and I stayed at Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice Mestre for one night - we were coming from Val Gardena ski resort and had a plane to catch from Marco Polo airport next morning. We chose this hotel mostly because of its location that was excellent for our needs. We arrived to Mestre by train, so we were able to walk to the hotel from the train station (5 minute walk). And the next morning it took us 3 minutes to walk to the bus stop from where we caught a direct bus to Marco Polo airport for 8 euros per person. So very convenient! There are several cafes/restaurants close by where you can have a good meal. And a large Spar supermarket about 7-minute walk away. Apart from this great/strategic location, we really enjoyed our room and the hotel in general - new, clean, modern and cozy. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. We had a wonderful stay and will not hesitate to choose this hotel again for our future trips through Mestre.

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel after a bad experience at another hotel nearby. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and accommodating when we needed information about Venice. We were amazed at how modern and clean the hotel and our room were. Unlike other hotels we never heard any noise from other rooms so it was a peaceful stay. The train station was a 2 minute walk from the hotel and only took 10 minutes to get to Venice, the trains ran every 10 minutes so we never felt pressured to get on a certain train. This hotel made our trip so much better and we wish we had booked this hotel originally!
