Having booked the room some 10 months previous via the internet, and having telephone conversations some 3 or 4 times confirming booking, time of arrival etc, we arrived at Hotel Tiziana only to be told that our room had been given away!!!!
Although we informed them of our arrival into Pisa airport, and our expected time of arrival at the hotel,(of which, we were not late!), they chose to telephone our mobile phone at the time we would have been in the air-and therefore the phone was switched off!!!
The receptionist, then said she had a place to put us up in until a room became available, and escorted us to a TV room-where an elderley gentleman was laid across one of the sofas watching football-this is where she expected us to sleep-for 100 euro per night!!!!!!!!
We declined the offer and walked out.
The hotel doesn't look one bit like the photos on their website. The swimming pool is packed all the time. Very bad soundproofing, terrible room and dining room.
We specifically asked for ONE double bed and not 2 bed pushed together and guess what we got!
There isn't enough space for everyone to park their car so they tell you to park it wherever you can. As a result, the next morning, we were asked, in the middle of our breakfast, to move our car... not very pleasant...anyway, this hotel is anything but classy!
Breackfast with full variety of products, always freshly backed cakes. Staff helpful.
"all rooms that we saw were good but the 3 on the first floor have been modernised."Read full review
