#1 of 36 B&Bs / Inns in Maratea
The warm welcome of the "Garden House - Maratea B&B" is rooted in the genuine hospitality of the family Limongi. They have always generously hosted family and friends to share their holidays together and now their house is also open to visitors. The house is situated in the heart of Acquafredda, a small paradise, where the guest can enjoy the precious harmony between the accommodation and the natural setting as well as the attention to detail highlights love and respect for the environment. At first glance the guest is struck by the beauty of the archaic and breathtaking landscape. The typical green Mediterranean vegetation, with its inebriating colours and perfumes, slopes gently towards the deep blue sea (only 800 meters far) and offers an enchanting and unforgettable view.

We had a wonderful visit to Acquafredda Di Maratea, staying at the B&B of Giusy and Mariano. Unlike the Amalfi coast, which is filled with foreign tourists, Maratea is a destination where Italians take vacation. The beaches are gorgeous with similar cliffs, but a bit off-the-beaten-path. The prices are much lower. The previous 5 star ratings on the reviews are well deserved. We stayed in the upstairs room, which has its own nice terrace. The room was comfortable and spotless. What makes this B&B extra special is the warmth of the hosts (Giusy and Mariano). Giusy is a teacher while Mariano runs the B&B. Mariano gave us a tour of the property, taking obvious pride in his chickens and vegetable garden, for organically grown food. As U.S. tourists, we felt part of the family for a day.

I've been in many hotels and b&bs, this is by far the cleanest, not a speck of dust in the whole building, room is spacious and bathroom is modern and functional. Breakfast freshly cooked, and hosts are always great Location is ok, you need your own transport, close to Maratea and beaches. Highly recommended

What to say about B&B Maratea, you will not want to leave! I myself had an upstairs room with a perfect little terrace where my grandson and I would lounge on the sun beds after a hard day swimming and sunbathing before heading down to Pepe's for a delicious dinner. My daughter's room was on the ground floor beneath mine and my grandson would be up and down the stairs at his leisure. The breakfasts were great, plenty of fresh juice, pastries and daily specials. The cakes and tarts ... delizioso! Our hosts were fantastic, extremely generous and helpful and graciously put up with my insistence on practising my bad Italian (even though they spoke excellent English). Would recommend to anyone. My family will definitely be returning at some point.

Together with 2 friends my wife and stayed at Maratea Garden House for one night 3 October 2015. We arrived at lunchtime with our own food but our hosts insisted on sharing their own food which was excellent as was breakfast the following morning. The rooms were very good and our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

This was our second visit to this lovely and welcoming b&b. Planning the long trip from Oregon, USA, to southern Italy, this was a place we had to return to. The reason so many people who have reviewed this home have raved about the warmth of the owners is the genuineness of their welcome. We have gotten to know their children and spouse, made pasta with the nonna's, walked the vegetable gardens, and befriended whiskey and brandy (the big german shepherds), all with speaking scant Italian. This just speaks for the ease of connecting to these open and honest people, as we are rather reclusive by nature. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast of high quality with homemade cakes and eggs cooked to order from their own hens. The b&b overlooks the blue sea, and the setting is peaceful. A couple good restaurants in the area.
