Wonderful week at Casa Barca, we arrived at about 1.30am after a 14 hour delay but there was someone to greet us and promptly took us or our room. It was an amazing view of the lake to wake up to in the morning, we enjoyed a super breakfast and explored the hotel, it is extremely clean modern and spacious, and no one puts the dreaded towel on sun beds to selfishly save them for themselves. Even though it was full it was very peaceful and relaxing. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful and efficient.
Malcesine is lovely to explore, great shops and restaurants and a lovely walk along the lakeside. We took the ferry to Limone, 30 mins, pretty but a little cramped, then from there a ferry to Riva, spacious streets, lovely shops and restaurants. We went to get the cable car up to the Bastion but it was closed, they were installing it when we stayed in Riva 3 years ago. We enjoyed a day and tour of Verona although it got a little too hot, it’s an interesting and beautiful place. All week was about 30 degrees. Beautiful weather. The only criticism we have was people smoking outside restaurants, there didn’t seem to be a non smoking section. This will not put us off returning, we love Lake Garda and will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon trip, everything from start to finish was top notch. The room was big and clean with an outdoor balcony, the breakfast was solid with a wide range of choices and cooked to order options but the icing on the cake was the pools and wellness centre which were spotlessly clean and a very welcome addition to an already fantastic hotel. This is the place to stay in Malcesine. You are 5 min walk from the centre and all the restaurants and have free parking and very pleasant staff. We will be back.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. Our room was perfect with a stunning lake view. Staff were lovely and helpful and as we had arrived late evening they were great at recommending somewhere for dinner.
There was a great selection of food and drinks for breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed. Cooked, continental, delicious fresh fruit and bread, Mimosas and any coffee under the sun.
We both booked in a massage at the wellness centre and it was divine as well as great value.
The hotel is a very short walk from the cobbled streets, quaint little alleys and castle of Malcesine. Filled with lovely restaurants, shops and bars it is a wonderful place to explore.
A truly wonderful experience overall, we would highly recommend!

Visited this beautiful hotel with my daughter for a short stay recently and it did not disappoint! Perfectly located just above the lake it has the most beautiful views! We were mesmerised by the views on the top floor of the hotel where you can relax on the sun deck and enjoy it with a drink from the hotel bar. We couldn’t believe how reasonably priced everything was at Casa Barca. The staff are delightful, welcoming, friendly and always on hand with a friendly smile to assist with any queries we had. The rooms are beautiful and we loved that this was such a sustainable hotel ever mindful of unnecessary waste in the rooms and around the hotel itself. The pool areas were never busy, it was always easy to find a quiet spot, and there is a real sense of space, peace and tranquility both in and around the hotel grounds. The most gorgeous of scent fills the hotel, I wish I could have bottled it and brought it home whatever it is. 😃 Malcesine is stunningly beautiful and if you plan to visit Lake Garda I couldn’t think of a better place to stay. Huge thank too for kindly arranging our takeaway breakfast when we had such an early pick up, it was very much appreciated and sorry we didn’t get to say goodbye this time, we very much look forward to our next visit.

We visited in August for a five night stop B&B whilst attending a wedding in the town. The hotel was a 5 minute walk into the town so the location was perfect with nice views of the Lake. The hotel complex and room were modern/spacious. The breakfast was mainly continental but nice. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee in the room but otherwise very good. Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from a weeks stay in this perfect hotel. And we’d love to come back one day.
As many have said, the service is fantastic. From checking-in, to breakfast service, to the bar service, you’re made to feel completely at home with a lovely friendly atmosphere.
Never have we ever felt so relaxed and chilled staying in a hotel. It was the best getaway from the stresses of the real world. Perfecto.
The hotel location is great. You still have the views of the lake and it’s a short walk to the centre of Malcesine. However, it’s just far enough away to mean you can return after a long days sightseeing (the elevated wooden walkway near Limone being one massive highlight) and get away from the crowds trundling through the narrow streets of the historic town.
We’ll miss those relaxing evenings sitting on the veranda, spritz in hand, watching the sun set over Lake Garda. As I said, we’d love to come back one day.

This hotel far exceeds any expectations. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and well furnished- we had an Ambiant room with our own large balcony with two sun loungers and table and chairs. It is a very quiet, peaceful hotel with friendly, professional staff and very good food. All the staff were excellent but a special thanks to Luca and Michel in the bar and restaurant and Roberta who provided a wonderful hot stone massage and the owner, Claudio for providing such a calm, quality oasis. There are two pools and lots of areas to relax either in the sun or in the shade amongst olive trees. Although the hotel was fully occupied it never appeared busy with lots of quiet spots to relax in. The hotel website photo not do it justice. The walk into Malcesine is only 5 minutes down a slight slope. The town offers lots of shops, restaurants and a beautiful castle to explore. If you are thinking of a trip to Lake Garda this is the best hotel and town to stay in.

Our first trip to Italy and this holiday and hotel will be hard to beat. The hotel is fantastic standard, very modern and clean with amazing facilities. The spa and swimming pools were lovely, we also found the roof tops particularly peaceful as they were often empty with lots sun beds and views of the lake. The breakfast was really amazing for a relatively small hotel it had so much choice. Juices, coffees, teas, pastries, big bread selection, cheese/hams, pancakes, crepes, omelettes and some hot food. We also had dinner on the first night after a long travel day and this was also very good. The staff are a huge asset to this hotel too all so friendly and say hello. We booked independently and it was really helpful to be able to arrange airport transfers. The cleaners do a fantastic job this hotel is spotless. This was our best hotel we have ever stayed in and certainly can’t wait to return one day and recommend to friends/family. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday.

Simply the best hotel in Malcesine the place to stay for the most relaxing holiday it should be on the small luxury hotels of the world as a 5 star hotel The hotel is stunning immaculate rooms beautiful, grounds spotless choice of 2 heated pools lots of sunbeds spa is first class and the rooms beautifully furnished with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and work so hard to make sure you have the best of times. This is the most beautiful hotel. We got married in Malcesine and nothing was too much trouble to them, they even put petals on our bed when we returned from the wedding 😁 The rooms are perfect, lovely view of the lake, clean and very quiet. The pool area is clean and also has a jacuzzi seat in it. Breakfast was gorgeous, so much to choose from…..even Prosecco 😂 I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will return. I had a massage in the wellness centre, which was very reasonably priced and was a great way to relax the day before my wedding.
