We stayed here myself and my boyfriend for two nights! It's a good 10 to 15 minute walk from the centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean. The room was exceedingly basic. As there is no air conditioning they leave the windows open, which meant we did struggle with quite a few mosquitos...

A lovely family run hotel. Stayed for 2 nights and left with a fantastic feeling thanks to the ever helpful and super nice staff. Yes the hotel is on the main road, it is very noisy at times and there is NO air con so a ceiling fan would help massively! Thankfully it was not too hot during our stay....

We had the family room (2 adjacent rooms sharing a bathroom). Helpful staff (spoke good English), happy to make ham and cheese toasties for my kids whenever asked. As per previous review the lack of air conditioning meant that windows needed to open and that means noise from the road (didn't stop until about midnight). Good breakfast, plenty to choose...

The hotel is placed so it is possible to walk to Malcesine for dinner. The service is good, and the owner is ready to help with many things. Breakfast is fine, with eggs cheese and so on. I feel they need an elevator, and they should also have aircondition. But all in all we are satisfied.

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Stella Alpina a lot. After 10 min walk at the lake side, you are in the city center. Parking is free and uncomplicated. The breakfast is rich and tasty. The stuff is very attentive and friendly. What else can you look for? Excellent place for a budget trip to Garda Lake :)

Our family of four, with two teens, spend three nights at Hotel Stella Alpina recently. We had the family room with consisted of two rooms and one bathroom. One of the rooms had the double bed split into two twins. First, the positives: the location is excellent being just a short walk to town, but away from the crowds. The...

Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms. Maybe a bit on the basic side but a great place for affordable and comfortable accommodation. 5 minute walk to the town. 2 minute walk to the lake. Would recommend and would stay again, but perhaps slightly outdated.

We stayed here for two nights during our friends wedding. Malcesine is a beautiful area and the hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the Malcesine Castle and Cable car. The rooms and en suites are very spacious, towels are provided and lots of storage is provided. Both our rooms also had balconies. The pool area is lovely, with...

I paid 120 euros for three nights in July 2014. Hotel is basic but comfortable, Pool well maintained, rooms cleaned daily to a high standard, breakfast plentiful, staff very welcoming. Not far from town, 15 mins walk from centre of Malcesine... Very happy with my experience in this hotel, highly recommended.
