I agree with previous reviews in that the hotel should be more than two stars. I was travelling with my 15 year old son and this hotel was a perfect base for us. The lady running the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful: organising trips, our airport transfers and preparing the tasty lunchtime snacks. Casa Serena was very clean and... More

This hotel should be rated more than 2star. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. It's family run, they are so friendly and helpful. Rooms and everywhere are very clean. Breakfast is great. The best salad Iv ever eaten and all food really cheap. Fantastic views of the lake and mountains. About a 20minute walk into the town.... More

This hotel was recommended to us and it did not disappoint! I would describe it as small and friendly; it was modern; the room was pleasant with nice furniture and a comfortable bed; ours had a lake view facing the main road but the traffic noise did not bother us at night as we had door closed and air conditioning... On arrival at the Casa Serena we were greeted warmly by a young lady who spoke very good English and was very welcoming. The hotel is small but very modern and spotlessly clean. We arrived around 1pm an hour or so before check-in but our room was already ready which was great. We had a lake view room on the... More

On arrival at the Casa Serena we were greeted very warmly by the owners. The hotel is a small and beautiful gem on Lake Garda. Our friends and ourselves had adjoining rooms facing the lake, small but perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean. There is no air con/ ceiling fans, but we didn't need them and we had some days of... Myself, my partner and some family members stayed here from 25th June 2014 for a week as was attending a wedding. We picked the hotel due to the incredibly good price, and was presently surprised, and actually preferred this to other guest hotels. The location is very good, it's about a ten minute stroll into Malcesine centre, the only downside... More

When I booked this it was primarily on the basis of price as I knew I wouldn't spend much time in the hotel. Family were staying in another hotel so I was able to make a comparison. The location was excellent with the exception of having to cross the road (but then many hotels were in the same situation) and... More

The hotel is a little out of the centre on a main road but if you walk to the crossing there is a path that takes you down to the lake which is then a pleasant walk into the centre. The breakfast was nice with the normal European options. The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. The pool... More

Our first visit to Malcesine on the banks of Lake Garda was May 2013, and we struck Gold with the accommodation. Hotel Casa Serena was chosen because it had good reviews from trip advisor and it fitted in with our requirements and budget. This year, 2014, we went in early June and back to the same hotel, Hotel Casa Serena.... More

We chose this hotel as it had a pool and was cheap. The hotel is located a short walk 10 mins from the centre of malcesine, all flat if you walk on the lake front which was never a problem for us. I cannot fault one area of the hotel for cleanliness, everything was spot on, the whole downstairs, internally... More
