Our happy place! You have to stay at this hotel! Firstly you will be bowled over by the stunning location and the views, Malcesine is the jewel in the crown of the jaw dropping Lake Garda. Then the refreshing, striking and progressive design of the hotel. With polished concrete floors and miles of glass to admire the glistening waters and watch the windsurfers bounce across the lake, this hotel is a sight to behold. Every opportunity is given to gaze at the water. The immaculate pool area, which has plenty of sun loungers, takes prime position on the top floor. The restaurant and beach bar serve exceptional local dishes and again this comes with an unparalleled view. Breakfast is by far the best we’ve had in any hotel in Italy with a large selection, both hot and cold. There are so many things I could mention but what stands out the most is the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the owners Antonio & Claudia. They have a constant desire to make the hotel the best it can be and to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible. I can’t give enough praise to this place. My only wish is that we could come here more often.

Just had 4 lovely days in Malcesine staying at the PrimaLuna. The hotel is generally great with lovely staff, a brilliant breakfast selection and all safety measures in place to cover Covid impacts. The location is beautiful on the banks of the lake and you can lose yourself in the views sipping on an Aperol Spritz whilst sat in the bistro. A walk into Malcesine each night for dinner and drinks is great as it's just a short walk along the promenade with amazing views along the way.
Here's where the balance comes in ! The pool is a great area and wasn't busy at all during our stay despite the hotel being full. It does however sit parallel to the coast road which at times is like sitting beside a Moto GP track. If you want a relaxing sunbathe I would recommend the beach area as the road noise is blocked.
Our room was an economy room and whilst comfortable enough we did have issues with the door lock, a leaking shower tray and a drain smell in the bathroom. The hotel did resolve the door lock issue but didn't respond to a mid stay questionnaire that I mentioned the drains smell within. My advice to the Ambient Hotel group is that if you are so keen to hear from your guests mid stay then take action on any feedback provided. Overall re the rooms if you can stretch to a room that isn't an economy room then do it, especially if you can go for a Lake view room, these looked fantastic.

The hotel offers courteous and effective service that is difficult to match. I visited with my wife and young child on the way from Lucca to South Tyrol. Our view was right over the beach along the pedestrian path. With the doors on the balcony closed, I could not hear anything from this busy area or from any other rooms in the hotel; that level of peace and quiet is a fantastic commodity in an increasingly noisy world. The room design is modern and includes an artistically cut metal partition around the lavatory. Our level of comfort was excellent. Food in the Ristorante was delicious, and the service staff were perfect. I accidentally left my shoes in the room when departing and was able to return four days later and retrieve them.

This was our second visit in this hotel. We rarely go back to the same places, but ... the lake, the town (malcesine) and of course the hotel itself made a huge impression on us (on our first visit in 2018) and we had to come back here. The hotel is located next to the lake, so you should choose a room with a lake view (especially on the 3rd floor with a panoramic view). The hotel is clean, well-kept with friendly service and great cuisine. The owners show their commitment and passion in running the hotel. The swimming pool is located "on the first floor", which gives you the opportunity to admire the lake while chilling at the pool. We will be back there for sure!

The location of the hotel, literally on the shore of Lake Garda, was incredible especially as our rooms had lake views. The couple who run the hotel could not have been more welcoming and helpful which was also evident in the attitude of all the staff.
All the food was of a very high quality, the rooms were spacious, clean and quiet with air conditioning. There is also a games area with table football, table tennis and fitness equipment.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk along the lake path to Malcesine which is a charming town with loads of restaurants, bars etc. There is also a watersports centre walking distance from the hotel.
In summary, everything you could possibly want for a family holiday, we can't wait to return.

This modern hotel has a beautiful location right along lake garda, great staff and amazing food, highly recommend. The two bedroom apartment is big enough for a family of four and has a large outside area with lovely views. Will definitely be back, very relaxing place. Only negatives would be mattress very hard and it's very busy in the restaurant so book ahead if you want a window table.

A great hotel right on the waterfront and away from the bustle of the town centre. It is a leisurely 10-15min stroll into town along the lake. The walk feels safe at night and is a nice end to an evening. The hotel itself is very environmentally friendly right down to the sparkling and still water to refill your water bottles. one of the highlights of our trip.

Hotel with great location to enjoy the lake beach which in that point is really wonderful. The structure immediately appears very accurate in every detail, clean and well furnished rooms. Super courteous and attentive staff, ready to solve any problem. The restaurant is really very nice and with a fantastic view, the breakfast is very rich and fully satisfies both sweet and savory palates. I really appreciated the water service (both sparkling and still) that the hotel offers free of charge: in different points of the structure there are these dispensers where you can fill your own bottle! The pool is really beautiful, well maintained and tidy and offers a great view. The center of Malcesine is 10/15 min walk.
