We spent a super skiing week with Barbara and Paola in Livigno. Beautiful agriturismo, in a quiet part of town, easily accessible by car & public transport. We had a great stay, 4 families including 9 kids. The food was excellent, and the service even better. Violetta made our day. We are coming back. Signed : George Clooney.

I am still dreaming about our recent stay in La Tresenda. This agriturismo is set in a beautiful place, slightly outside Livigno (around 4 km). The views from the grounds and the rooms are stunning. The advantage of this position is a big farm with animals that can be visited and walks in the surroundings. However, having a car would be confortable for reaching the slopes and the village center, although there are free skibusses that stop in several hundred meters from the agriturismo (satisfactory service, but not extremely reliable regarding the schedules). The double room was warm, spacious and comfortable (a small living area with a sofa and TV, a bedroom, a wardrobe with a deposit-safe and a big bathroom with a super shower and comfortable space to place your toiletries). Everything new, stylish and functional, including the hairdryer. Very cosy atmosphere. There is a nice sauna downstairs, which is accessible from the outside (as each of the rooms), but it's a pity that there's no whirlpool and hamam. A slightly more developed wellness area would make this place a real paradise. Worth to mention though, that by paying 15 EUR the guests of La Tresenda can use the great spa of the Hotel Lac Salin in Livigno. Breakfast is great, nearly all products are fresh and locally produced (white and dark bread, butter, cheese, yoghurt, meat cuts, homemade pies). Maybe there could be greater variety of fresh (uncut) fruit, but this was already one of the best breakfasts for my taste. Also the breakfast coffee is a real one and with fresh milk for the cappuccino. We only had one dinner there and it was excellent. The Giacomelli family and all the staff is really welcoming, helpful and friendly. On the practical note, I would strongly recommend agreeing on your arrival time, or booking your sauna, dinner etc. in advance, as there is no real "reception" as such and you risk of finding nobody in the main area. It also remains closed outside the meal times. Other practical notes... wi-fi was working perfectly in the rooms, there's plenty of parking space and a ski deposit. A great place to discover!

We go for skiing to Livigno twice a year. By recommendation we went to the restaurant first in December last year. And we instantly fell in love with this place. Therefere we have decided to stay for couple of nights there during our visit in April. And indeed, everything was perfect, just as we expected. The owners are extremely friendly, flexible and patient (even with our teen boys:)) Rooms are lovely, spotless clean and quiet. Love the animal farm as well. But the best on this place is its restaurant! Fantastic traditinal Italian brekafast, where you find everything you can think of, including a la carte meals (great omelettes and cakes by the way). And definitely the best dinner in town! Thank you for the great service (the waiter could easily work in Four Seasons), we will be back!!!

My Family and a group of friends have just returned from La Tresenda having had the most wonderful holiday. The hotel is beautiful with modern interiors while keeping it comfy and informal, the food is excellent from the traditional Italian breakfast ( you can get tea if you press the right buttons on the coffee machine) to the hearty dinners all made with locally sourced produce. While the hotel is situated 4 km from Livigno centre there is a free bus route at the bottom of the road taking you to all the ski lifts and the centre of Livigno and if you après ski to hard there is plenty of taxis to take you back to your peaceful retreat. Although my wife and sister were virgin skiers the central ski school instructor Simeone was excellent and had them up and skiing in snow time and the piste wasn't overcrowded while I had plenty of options for coffee and food breaks (Paprika being the best) At the Tresenda Paolo, Barbara and their team were absolutely wonderful, they were friendly but still got you everything you needed and more, I ended up in Paolo's garage fixing my much needed snow chains on departure day. I would recommend La Tresenda to anyone who would like a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings at any time of the year with the option of winter sports or hiking/pony trekking in the summer and night life on your doorstep. NOTE We flew into Bergamo airport with Ryanair (which was cheap and fine) and the drive to Livigno although testing due to the very heavy snow was ok our problems came from the actual car hire. Be very careful when booking your car on the internet (LOCAUTO through argushire in our case) as I had to provide a deposit of £1700 ( not mentioned ) before taking the car and the service was terrible, trying to overcharge for sat-nav and snow chains ( you have got to have these ) and making you sign for the car without checking it over (the cars are 5 mins on a free bus outside the airport and unlike like other car hire companies Locauto doesn't have any reps there, we took photos ) Please check before you leave that the sat-nav is up to date as ours wasn't and as you can imagine caused a lot of problems. Hope this helps

Just come back from a week with Paola, Barbara and their wonderful staff we were a group of 12 of varying ages the accomodation suited all of us the rooms are large and comfy with a fab shower and tasteful decor. The setting is idyllic with the buses passing the end of the road every 15 minutes it took about 10 mins to get to the town or less to the slopes. Nothing was too much trouble should you need anything our hosts were only too pleased to oblige. Nearly forgot to mention the food very good and all prepared freshly as you order.

Thank you to Barbara and Paolo for being the perfect hosts! We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel over Christmas! The hotel is modern and beautifully decorated. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and hardworking. The food was amazing!!! On Christmas day we received personalized gifts which I thought was a very nice gesture! Although the hotel is not in Livigno town center it is easy accessible with the (free) bus which stops about 50m from the hotel. The sauna was a bonus especially after spending a day on the ski slopes!
