Enjoy your stay in Livigno!
Hotel has a very nice location near to the slopes and center of the city. However, the rooms are extremely small and there is no place to move. There wasn't any hot water in most our visit only only in the last few days which is very important in a ski hotel. TV was a size of an iPad and it had only 4 channels. Breakfast is very nice and there is some variety, but bread is very stale and hard. All and all I wouldn't come back to this hotel and most of the reviews and pictures of the rooms are very misleading.
Very good price/quality. Few rooms, and mrs. Valeria extremely welcoming. All the facilities that you need, 10m from the carosello ski lift and on the main pedestrian route of Livigno. Basic rooms and breakfast but was well enough.
Greeted by the hotel owner on our arrival was a nice touch, however it wasn't 'a nice touch' it is just how Valeria runs her hotel, with a warm welcome. The hotel has a homely and efficient manner. We initially were a little bit disappointed with the room , small and attic, but this was rediscovered by us as quirky, as the cleanliness and comfort took hold. For the first time in livigno we had elected for half board and the food did not disappoint. Small wellness centre was enough for what you need after a day skiing. Friendly staff and easy access to the lifts and town centre make it definitely a good place to return to.
Stayed at this hotel which is owned and managed by a lady of the same name, last week for a 7 day ski holiday. The Hotel is a very short walk 1 minute to the nearest lift and it’s easy to ski back to for all levels. It’s also located in the centre of town very close to a lot of bars restaurants coffee shops and duty free shopping. The breakfast is typical continental buffet style and dinner is served in the hotel restaurant and has a very wide choice of classical Italian fare all of which we thought was of a very high standard. As we wanted to dine out a couple of nights Valeria facilitated us to ski back and have a fantastic lunch at no charge. Valeria really is the ‘Human Dynamo’..... She works so hard from early morning to long after the end of dinner service overseeing and physically involved in everything including the cleaning of rooms, food service, concierge and does it all with such enthusiasm and happiness which is genuine and so focused on the customer’s satisfaction. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and have to say a special thank you to Valeria for going out of her way to make our stay such a pleasant one. We would definitely return if going back to Livingio.…
Hotel welcoming; clarity & efficiency of instruction. 30 seconds get a bungle of keys instruction for safe passport returned and off to a very comfortable room. spacious enough as ski accommodation goes. Lovely big ensuite, Balcony off each room. Jacuzzi, sauna and relaxing area a treat after a day skiing.[3-7] Breakfast well supplied continental breakfast . Nice ham & cheese disappears too quickly. [7.30 - 10] Dinner is 3 courses from menu of choice in 3 languages. It is Ski in Ski out - just go out the back way from the ski room lackers - a wonderful advantage. I did miss not have a special Christamas night. The dining room lacks decor and the lightening is too bright. a few Bar stools at the bar service area would attract more drinkers before dinner. A few local scenes on the walls, low more intimate lighting with even a few Christmas decoration would be a huge plus for Hotel Valeria. There is a christmas tree outside and 2 decorations outside the breakfast room. Go out on to the street it is delightful. Lights, atmosphere. What an amaxing village. Hotel is in a perfect spot and offers what you will need. My fifth star not dicked is due to the decor…
Very friendly staff and right at the bottom of the beginner slopes. Food wasn't too bad but we decided to eat out most nights as we were with another couple staying in another hotel. Rooms are small but well kept.
Nice Hotel just off of a shopping area in Livigno. Underground parking available upon request. We were staying here as we were riding through the alps on motorbikes on our way to test Stelvio! Room was nice, beds were comfy. There was an in room safe that we were advised to use. Restaurant was good, food was fantastic. Breakfast was provided and a large continental selection was on offer.
Very nice hotel and worth the money. They are situated by one of the ski lifts so easily accessible to ski lifts. The food is excellent and basically, in the evening, you get to choose from 3 of any dishes on their menu. I would advise you come in at 7pm (7-8pm open times) or slightly earlier as there are only 2/3 people max cooking and serving. If the hotel is full you will be waiting around if you are not served first! Breakfast is self-service; eggs, cereal, yoghurts, bread, jam, coffee machine etc... pretty basic so stock up what you can and enjoy the dinner meals in pm. The rooms are clean and cosy, you do get three different keys so can be a little confusing and awkward to carry. The ski locker room is down stairs in their garage – lots of space no issues there. As mentioned in the tips, if you would like good WiFi then ask for the middle floor as the hub/router is bang in the middle. You are allowed to use their hot tub (3-7pm only), sauna and steam room which all works perfectly fine and worth doing after a heavy day ski session. This hotel is family run and they basically do everything between the 3 / 4 people. They are friendly, positive and helpful if you have any questions. To Summarise; Hotel Valeria is definitely a well-kept 3* hotel, some aspects like the bathroom etc… could even be 4*. Dinner is first class and breakfast is good. Any questions just ask?…
We stayed 4 adults and 1 child for a week. The quality of services was excellent!!! Excellent food, family approach of the owner Valeria. Impressionnant how is she able to arrange herselve everything starting early morning, say buona mattina to everybody, always keep smiling. I am running the bussiness in services, I know how difficult it is to be ready for clients 24/24, 7/7 and always smiling. Really, I recommend to stay here and try. You will be certainly satisfied!!!!
Myself and my husband stayed at the Valeria for a week in February for a skiing trip. We were greeted by the most fabulous host Valeria who made us feel at home immediately. Our room was immaculately clean with plenty of storage space, although we didn't have much of a view (had to stand on the bed to look out of the window) and the ceilings were rather precarious for myself and my husband as it had low beams and we are both quite tall, however we got used to it pretty quickly and it definitely didn't deter from the holiday. The food in the evenings prepared fresh by Valeria's brothers was beautiful, especially the veal chop. The evening was made all the more fun by our attempts to order our meals in Italian with Valeria prompting us on. You had a choice from the full a la carte menu, which is a lovely change from the usual choice of two barely warm meals you normally get whilst on a skiing holiday. I can't recommend this hotel enough, hopefully these great reviews won't prevent the availability of a room next time we visit Livigno. We will definitely be back.…
