Our fifth stay for skiing in Livigno, but the first in Hotel Camino. The hotel is located on the periphery of the town, but directly in front of the hotel is skibus stop. Parking is free and parking lot is big enough. Lady in reception was very helpfull. Room was pretty small, with simple equipment, but perfectly clean. The bathroom was roomy with bathtube. The breakfast was good and the croissants and hot chocolade was excellent, In concluson, Hotel Camino is simple, but comfortable hotel for those, who loves skiing in Livigno.
Fantastic hotel, just happened upon it, lovely room, wifi, tv, unreal food , super beer. An absolute bargain!! Best of all free garage for motorbike and power washing for it and/or mountain-bikes. Just brilliant
I stayed for two nights expecting basic but got flat screen tvs, super clean rooms and a restaurant that defines presentation of mountain food the way it should be...You cannot get a cheaper single person stay in a private room on-suite anywhere....I have over 25 stays in Livigno, but at least 300 Ski Resort stays having lived at both Mammoth Lakes and LAKE TAHOE at Incline and Sugar Bowl, I am a Certified Ski Instructor and have received Guide training 5 times....So if I ski a resort again and again you should take more notice than the typical reviewer...Livigno is my all time favorite ski resort....I hate the rip off elitist world that North American skiing has become, with 90 dollar lift tickets, no alcohol served on many slopes, fast food the norm on slope, and crap AMERICAN COFFEE to send you off...I paid 50 euros for 1 night lodging, WITH both breakfast AND an awesome dinner!!!! skiing was 42 euro...a bottle of excellent wine 18 euro or a bottle of California Cabernet killing Barolo 35 euro! or a bottle of French Bordeux killing Sforzatto at 40 euro....The shopping(duty free!), the fine dining, read other reviews I have written about Livigno restaurants, makes Europe, and especially Italy worth the flight over...The great multi resort spin, to ski Europe, may take about 3 weeks, to pick up the all important Swiss and AUSTRIAN PARTS (Kitzbuhel a must!), and if France comes into the picture figure at least a month....But this mini spin, BORMIOx2,LIVIGNOx3,ZUOZx1, as a cheaper base for ST MORITZ, makes agreat week long trip, you need a winterized car! Companies like Intra West take note, Europe rules, and please STAY AWAY! Hotel Camino is a tad out of town, but with the ultra frequent buses it does not matter, I am going to Livigno, again!, the day after tomorrow, I got tired of Commuting and moved to Italy...by the way in the Summer Livigno rocks and the prices get even cheaper...and when we combine with a beach holiday you will find out how WITH IT Italys beach resorts are as well...I was raised in So Cal, I fail to recall one beach with umbrella rentals,Wine lists and full bed chairs to lay on...my waiter delivers APEROL SPRITZES RIGHT TO MY CHAIR! If only we had a COSTCO & TRADER JOES life would be just perfect, because playing over here is PERFECT! The hotel manager SARAH was truly awesome and made sure I ate like the locals that hang out at this place, and by the way GORDON RAMSEY, who has some rather high standards likes it as well according to Sarah...the hotel is right on the Nordic Track and a 4 minute bus ride from Carrosello 3,000.…
