Booked for a weekend stay with family members. The hotel is a ten - minute walk from the centre but a two - minute walk from the first shops. Our room was on the top floor and had a balcony with a view on the ski slopes. It was spacious enough to comfortably fit 5 people, 3 downstairs and 2 in the loft/gallery part upstairs. The hotel was very clean and airy. The staff were very polite and helpful and as they only do breakfast, they offer a superb service ferrying you to and from a restaurant they have an agreement with. This restaurant has great food by the way! In the hotel the actual breakfast itself is worth a stay here. Eggs and bacon cooked on the spot to your taste, cheese and sliced meats, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit portions, dried fruit, berries, nuts, seeds, honey and honey on the comb to! There is a variety of bread rolls and cakes to choose from. Individual portions of crisp bread, Swiss bread, crackers, biscuits and small pots of jams and marmalade too. Water, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Such an excellent choice! A great place to stay and if ever in Livigno again I would definitely stay in La Suisse again!

The hotel is excellently located within easy walking distance from a ski lift. If it hadn't been for an ongoing construction at the lot nextdoor, it would have been possible to ski to the hotel in the afternoon as well. The rooms are of an adequate size and impeccably clean. The interior is starting to get a bit dated, however. The beds are comfortable. I had no issues whatsoever with the internet connection in my room. The breakfast was good, with a nice spread. The ski room is a bit narrow, but we had no issues during our visit since people seemed to come and go at different times. I saw someone complaining about it being communal (i.e. not lockers). I have never seen a hotel with lockers for the skis, ever, and I've been to quite a few. The ski room looks like most others in the Alps. Calling the owner rude, as some reviews do, is a bit unfair in my opinion. Sure, she does not talk a lot (or smile a lot for that matter) but she was never unfriendly in conversation. Furthermore, the younger woman who worked the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. As a last note, there are dogs at the hotel, so if you're allergic or very afraid of dogs, this might not be for you.

Very good location, only 100 m from ski lift and you can walk. The rooms are clean and one more very important thing - the dogs are allowed. \but..., the owner is a bit strange, rude, may be her English is not good enough. The sauna is extra charged - 4 EUR per person. The ski equipment is locked between 23 PM - 8 AM, which is not correct according to the people who need to leave early morning. The breakfast is ok, but you can use the toast only for toast bread and you can put wholegrain bread for some reason... Strange rules, strange owner... I will definitely not go back to the same hotel and I cannot recommend it.

The woman in charge is extremely rude and unfriendly. She really should NOT be in the customer service business. We felt very unwelcome all the time. The rooms are okay but they do not give you any new shampoo, soap, or body wash after you arrive. Most hotels replenish your toiletries when they are empty. Not this one. Also, they advertise the sauna however you need to reserve it AND pay for it ($4 euro per person!!). With all that being said the location is excellent and most importantly you can walk to the ski lift.

My experience at this hotel was ruined by the rude attitude of what I presume is the female owner. Off handish and rude curt responses are not what a paying guest should experience and believe me I am a very easy going person. I get the distinct impression that the owner doesn't want to be there and could do with a lesson in customer relations. Security is questionable with all keys left in a single dish at the bottom of the stairs for guests to retrieve after 9pm. Ski room is narrow and communal meaning no lockers for any rooms. There is a safe in the room but there is no key so presumably a charge to use it. Breakfast is average but sometimes the fruit was off and the eggs were not fresh. Wifi works sometimes but is useless 80% of the time. Location good, parking available. I won't be staying here again.
