We stayed at Hotel San Rocco around New Year's time. I can't find anything negative about San Rocco. We were treated very well and enjoyed our holiday 100%. Initially booked bed and breakfast just because we planned to try as many different restaurants in the city as possible. We dined couple of nights at San Rocco, and food was very good value for money. Can warmly recommend. Room was rather small, but that's normal. And in the end I didn't plan to spend the time in room but on the mountain. Our friends said their room was rather hot and effected goodnight's sleep. Our room was very comfortable although. There's almost anything you want at the hotel, restaurant, bar, ski room and most important, grocery store for buying food, drink and small stuff you might need. Only thing what we as Finns were missing, was Sauna, which would have been nice addition after long day at the mountain. But there's a place few hundred meters away, and hotel stuff guided us there. Hotel is well located not right at the centre, but little walk towards Carosello 3000. So we didn't feel the traffic but close to slopes, shops and many restaurants. In Livigno you can't get everything in one location, since it's located in a valley. If you choose to stay in the centre, you are far away from Carusello and vice versa... There's some walking from Carosello, but with one run, you can get down to San Rocco church. During our period, snow was limited and this last run was not maintained, so it was a bit challenging for most of us to ski right to the front door of the hotel. But it ought to be possible during high snow. All together hotel stuff took very good care of us. Thank you!!! If we shall be back to Livigno, Hotel San Rocco is definitely our first choice.…
San Rocco is simply an excellent choice for everyone! It is conveniently located just one bus stop from the Carosello lift and once you are done with skiing, you can ski directly to the hotel yard. The ski room is spacious equipped with enough shoe heaters and ski stands. Although the rooms were little small (we had two quad rooms) we managed to squeeze quite well. Both the hotel and the rooms were spotless and the wifi was working ok. What I need to point out is the nice and friendly staff (Thank you!) and above all the food! We booked on half board basis, so we were able to enjoy the delicious food every night. The wide selection of desserts is the top!
For many years I have stayed in the San Rocco area, and shopped at the little mini-market beneath the hotel. The staff are really friendly and they serve the most wonderful fresh bread and croissants. This week a couple of friends have spent a couple of nights at the hotel and are very pleased with both the location and the service. The bar is nice for coffee or drinks, never gets hectic with apres skiers, but serves quality coffee in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere....
