I never got to enjoy this hotel, as the next wave (Covid- Omicron) meant European borders were closed to South Africans. My review isn't great based on the fact that I had to forfeit my deposit. I understand that Covid restrictions are not the hotel's fault, but saying good bye to a fair sum of money does leave a sour taste in my mouth.
A great hotel . Cosy , clean rooms a lovely breakfast and polite staff . Nice lounge area and ski and boot room . Close to the ski bus and short walk away to the one of the main ski lifts . Plenty to do around the area and some great bars and coffee houses
The hotel is 150 mt away from the ski-lift and in 5 min.walk you find all the cool apres ski bars. Very new, cosy and warm. We stayed for dinner and appreciated the food. The staff is friendly and the facility clean. We will visit again.
Nice italian hotel with cosy rooms, finished with a lot of wood. the breakfast is ok and the diner is perfect. friendly service and nice bar & SPA(sauna, dteam bath & jaquzi). The ski bus stops at 200m from the hotel
very friendly staff, clean and cozy, good location, views of the peaks of Carosello, a good breakfast and dinner, easy movement to lift the cab, opportunity for shopping, we recommend this hotel for your ski vacation
Well located, very friendly staff, perfect kitchen, well equipped, ... If visiting Livigno again, we will go back to this hotel for sure and advise our friends & family to go there too. The only suggestion I could give for further improvement, is installing boot dryers in the ski room. Amazing good price/quality ratio of this hotel ! Congratulations for all this hard work performed with a smile, every day !
We are 7 travelling to Livigno staying in two different places - I by chance stayed at Hotel Primula for the first time 3 years ago. It was a lovely experience. A nice, friendly staff, very good food indeed. Next year the hotel was fully booked, but this year, I succesfully went back - to the same friendly staff, lovely food - a small room - with a large, nice bed - perfectly clean every day - as the rest of the place. It was nice indeed to be back, and I intend to do so next year as well.
I stayed just one night in hotel Primula before leaving this wonderful italian ski town. Primula is located next to San Rocco ski area, between two bus stops. You can walk to the slopes. This area is like 500m from the city center but for me is better because the best part of Carosello is there and its 5 minute bus ride to Mottolino. Entering the hotel, the always warm Livigno reception. It looks like you are entering an italian cafe as to the left there is a coffee/bar room. After I got my key, I was presented to the ski storage room which is outside. Its a warm room but no boot heating. My room was clean and cozy with a big window view towards the Mottolino side of the mountain, nothing special but nothing to complain. Bed is confortable, bathroom white, clean and hot shower. It was on the same level as the entrance in the left side. Internet worked good at that corner. I didn´t use the wellness spa but I know they have a nice one. It´s always good to use it after a ski day! About the half board, In Italy it´s a must to get it. In Livigno is a joy. The included dinner was wonderful, two dishes, first and second. Try always in Livigno the local wines (like the great "Inferno"), cheese (caseira cheese) and bresaola. Two choices of dessert and the great non-expensive italian expresso. Simply great. I would recommend and come back to Hotel Primula for sure!…
I almost hate to recommend this place because my friends and I would like to keep this place all to ourselves.! :) Food was great, rooms comfortable and perfectly clean and all the other expectations of a good hotel in the Alps were met or exceeded. But none of this is as important as the mountains.......none of this is as important as the mountains, the skiing and the endless views. AND GIVEN THAT TWE LIVE IN ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT IS REALLY SAYING SOMETHING. But even above all this was the HOSPITALITY, CARING, AND COMPETENCE OF THE OWNERS AND STAFF. We forgot our passports in the room! We could not imagine a better resolution (they, at their expense overnighted the documents to us in Milan), BUT BETTER YET THEIR EMPATHY TO TROUBLED TRAVELERS COULF NOT HAVE BEEN MORE REASSURING. And to cap everything off, THE OFF-PISTE SKIING IS ENDLESS, SAFE AS ANYWHERE OFF-PISTE SKIING CAN BE, AND SIMPLY A DELIGHT RATHER THAN THE TERRIFYING EXPERIENCES WE HAVE HAD ELSEWHERE IN THE ALPS. RAY AND FAMILY, ASPEN, CO., USA…
