Detailed Reviews
We have just returned home after a 9 night stay. We booked a package which included a top floor room with balcony and sun beds and pick up/ return to Pisa Airport. Our flight from Manchester was delayed for 2 hours so we didn’t get off to a good start. The Hotel Manager came to pick us up and thankfully he was still waiting despite the long delay. Our room had a fantastic view of Lerici and the Gulf of Poets and we spent many hours just relaxing and admiring the vista. Breakfast was very good with choices of hot and cold food, freshly made coffee and cakes/ pastries. The view from the breakfast room was excellent too. It is a short walk downhill into the town which takes 3 mins and plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Our favourite was L’Ancore de Lerici. The town has a great atmosphere in the evenings with a mix of locals and tourists. Ferries run like clockwork from Lerici to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre. We also caught the local bus to a pretty village called Tellaro about 15 minutes away. This area of Italy is frequented almost exclusively by Italian holidaymakers and consequently very little English is spoken. This did present a few language difficulties with some hotel staff but we managed to get by. All in all a great holiday in a beautiful region of Italy.

My husband and I have stayed twice at the Doria and can’t recommend it more. Their hospitality is unmatched and their breakfast is something I dream about. Fresh-squeezed blood orange and the most delectable meats and cheeses and pastries. 😋 The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms spacious and pristine, and the view is beautiful whether you’re overlooking the garden or the gulf. You can’t go wrong with this choice!

The hotel is lovely with very nice rooms, a helpful staff, and a good breakfast. Our room had a lovely view of the town (we adore Lerici!) and the Ligurian coast as did the restaurant. The walk into town was only 6-7 minutes or so, BUT the walk was down steps the entire way. My husband and I had no trouble despite our age, but at night with rain it is a bit hazardous. I am glad we stayed there, but anyone with walking issues, painful knees, etc., might want to avoid this hotel. We had a car but did not want to drive into town because the route is very, very circuitous. Hotel a bit hard to find by car.

+1
Cold and impolite welcoming / check-in. We had the bad feeling not to be attended the minimum we would expect for such hotel. No help proposes to us to take down our luggages from parking slot to reception even if you have to go down many stairs outside to reach the reception desk. No information provided on services proposed by the hotel, neither how to access city center. Same with WIFI code that was not provided to us. Breakfast was very poor and not reaching basic quality standards. To have 3 pieces of bread, you’ll have to ask 3 times as it seems your consumption will be watched out very carefully. When it comes to the room, what can we say apart from the fact this is not acceptable for 262 EUR/night. Overall room decoration is stuck in 80’s, furniture are old and the smell is very strange. You’ll find trace of mushroom in your wallpaper that is spreading all over above your sleeping bed. The terrasse is furnished with a beautiful pair of white (grey) plastic chairs and tables that you would easily found on internet for 20 EUR. If you switch air conditioning, you’ll not be able to sleep and even breath. The smell getting out of it was disgusting. Cherry of the cake is the bathroom, that is the size of a cubbyhole. You’ll have literally to walk over the toilet to access the shower cabin. Cabin was dirty and you can not even see through the window glass. Hair dryer is not working, the front lights are without protection. You could easily accidentally throw water in it… the worst experience ever we had so far. We recommend you not to go. That’s a complete rip-off. By the way room number was 559.

Valerio

Doria Park Hotel is in a beautiful location, with a calm and efficient vibe. Breakfast has been adapted due to the pandemic, and involves you filling out a slip rather than picking from the buffet. I found the breakfast to be a standard continental breakfast. Our room although not overly spacious, was clean with a very comfortable double bed and sofa bed, and the bathroom was a good size. The room was well equipped and the sea view was amazing ( definitely worth paying the extra for a sea view). Lerici itself is the perfect Italian seaside town. Bright and beautiful, everything I hoped It would be. Lots of shops and cafes with warm and friendly people. Top tip....You need to pre book the beaches as due to social distancing they get booked up. All in all a really special trip with my 2 daughters 16 and 20, I would love to return.

Very nice hotel. My room was spacious. The room balcony was even bigger. The view was magnificent. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is located very close to the marina of Lerici and you can easily find other facilities. Really enjoyable

You are never sure what to expect when you visit an Hotel for the first time.
But Doria Park exceeded all of my expectations.
My family and I booked two rooms on the second floor the last week of October.
From booking in by Luigi, ( who was very kind ) and whose English was perfect, to enjoying the fantastic view over the bay of Lerici.
Definitely will go back again . Thank you.
We will be back !

To describe this hotel's views as beautiful is an understatement - they are breathtaking. I couldn't bear to look away most days! The rooms are immaculate, spacious, modern and the Hotel is steps from downtown Lerici. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will attend to you every need. The breakfast is lovely and looks out on the spectacular marina.

On a hill in a park overlooking Lerici the hotel is fine, the staff helpful. Has 2 (!!) EV charging stations and welcomes dogs. Hotel is quite fond of an admittedly extravagant breakfast buffet. Only negative is that to reach the entrance at the lower level of the hotel one has to go down about four floors of steps (and back up when leaving)...

I think the rooms are either a sea view or rear view. The sea view is more expensive but worth it as its a great view.
