our agent booked this hotel for us for 3 nights to have boat access to Porto Venere, and other villages to Cinque Terre. We have a room 106 with balcony overlooking the bay. The first night we found out a lot of ants along the desk. We called the front office lady's attention, and she put some spray around the desk but kept telling us " that was nothing to worry about" ?? The next morning when we were leaving the hotel, I complained to Lara, and she took it very seriously. She told us that she'd check and treat the room while we were away. She also ran out to catch us when she realized that we were at the wrong place for the bus. She really saved our day!
Hotel to Lerici dock is a 20 minutes walk on paved road along the bay. there is also buses near the hotel you can catch. Breakfast was minimum and baked goods not fresh.

We stayed only one night and wish it had been more. We had a fabulous room overlooking the sea.
We awoke early the next morning and the moon was still out and reflected in the water. I cannot wait to return. San Terenzo and Lerici are just lovely.

It's a small hotel, 14 rooms, but it was a very nice hotel. The hotel is located right on he beach, and most rooms have a sea view. And even if you don't get a sea view, the breakfast terrace and the sunbathing areas have gorgeous views of San Terenzo.

Taxi from La Spezia was about 25 euro, and from the hotel a flat fee 20 euro back. While in town, a 15 minute walk north along the beach to San Terenzo will bring you to the bell tower where a bus to La Spezia takes 30 minutes and from there full access to Cinque Terra. Or walk south along the beach for 15 minutes to get to Lerici.

Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms clean and neat, and a nice breakfast spread.

Sure this place is nice if you get a room overlooking the ocean (pity those who are unlucky to get a room that backs on to the road and footpath). The beds are super comfortable but the rooms are very simple for the cost of the rooms. I have stayed in many hotels and this one is what I would call exorbitant prices. I was here on business and the internet is slow which was not great for me and no gym either. But most of all what really got to me was that I tried to change my booking and cancel the last night of my stay an Italian transport strike meant I had to change my departure plans. They insisted on charging me for the night I could not stay. To sum it all up, stay here only if you have more money than sense

This hotel, although small, is perfectly situated between San Terenzo and Lerici. The rooms are well furnished and very clean. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and totally professional. The breakfast, taken on the lower terrace in warm weather, is very good with meats, cheeses, bread, yoghurts, cereals, fruit, pastries etc. We stayed for 6 nights and would definitely return to this hotel.

If you want to wake up hearing the sound of waves and watch a wonderful sunset daily, this hotel is the best in the region! My stay was very comfortable, the staff were all very kind and helpful. The room was spotless clean, and all bright. The hotel itself was within minutes of walk to the adjacent beaches, the Villa Marigola, and the castle.

A few things made me give a 4 stars instead of 5. I would have been very satisfied had there been a tea/coffee + kettle accessories in the room. Then, the hotel was slightly conventional using woolen blankets without covers. I was not too comfortable using those and ended up using only the white linen sheets which was fine at this time of the year.

Nonetheless, everything else was perfect and I surely recommend it. Should I be in that region again, I would definitely stay there!

You can almost touch the sea from the bedrooms overlooking the coast. Comfortable rooms, very helpful and friendly staff. Ideal location and excellent restaurant on site. Have stayed many times and would highly recommend.

Much recommended, this hotel is directly on the beachfront in San Terenzo, and a short walk from Lerici, another beautiful seaside setting just south of the better-known (and sadly, overcrowded) towns of the Cinque Terre. There are several hotels in San Terenzo/Lerici but this is the only one on the beach side of the roadway and may be the main reason it is rated 4 stars instead of 3. Our large balcony had an unimpeded view of the sea, the crescent of the beach, and charming town of San Terenzo. The room was spacious but not luxurious, the breakfast was good, and the view was unmatched. There are many good restaurants, nice beaches, and a lovely walkway between the two towns of San Terenzo and Lerici. For us, it was a wonderful way to decompress. From Lerici you can take a short scenic boat ride to Portovenere where you can also catch another boat to the Cinque Terre. On the way to San Terenzo from Milan, when the train passed through the railway stops for the Cinque Terre, the platforms were mobbed (they have recently had accidents). Sadly, the Cinque Terre has become too well known and is overwhelmed by tourists.

Miles from Cinque Terre (regardless of what the front desk tells you)

Tried to cancel with a week to go and they said I needed to read the cancellation policy -- no refund -- issued a gift certificate but we will never be going there -- they kept the entire two nights fee $500 -- arg -- try another hotel, i should have read these reviews first

Really liked this property. We had a corner ocean front room, overlooking the decks on the hotel front and to the side. There was a nice balcony with a table and chairs and two beach chairs and the windows were tinted for privacy which was important as we were right in the heart of the complex and almost hanging over the water. The room was well appointed. Great firm bed, nice shower, good Wi-Fi, larger safe, very clean, really everything we look for in a room.

The breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we encountered and it is served ocean front which was a real treat each morning.

The location was excellent, just outside of San Terezno (10 minute walk to the centre of town) on the way to Lerici (20 minute walk to the centre of town), so it was easy to get to restaurants in both towns. It is also a 20 minute walk from the marina and the ferry to Portovenere (which is where the ferry leaves from for the Cinque Terre hike.

I'd provide the cons if I could, but we didn't discover any.
