I have stayed at La Rosa Canina three times so far, two of them on week-long business trips to La Spezia and a short one for leisure. The agriturismo is at the top of a hill, in the middle of the woods, which gives you cool air even in the summer, as well as absolute peace. This is a family place, even in full season everyone goes to bed after dinner so I never had any noise issues. Edy and Marco welcome you warmly and make you feel like at home. This is the kind of place where guests, if they so like, are invited to sit down on a large common table for breakfast and dinner, and the landlord sits down with you to chat and tell you anything you want to know about the surroundings or the local history, agriculture and food. The homemade food and local wine, which Marco is in charge of, are of the highest quality. Although Marco will try to accommodate any reasonable request, la Rosa Canina is a fixed-menu restaurant and, believe me, you will be just happy to lay back and let him bring on dish after wonderful dish. A minor issue for some might be the mountain road, which is pretty narrow and not tarmacked in the few hundred meters. This has never been a problem for me (even with a small car), indeed it adds to the isolation and charm of the place. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get down to Lerici and 20-25 to go to La Spezia, where traffic is always reasonable even in full season. In summary, a very nice (and reasonably priced) accommodation I hope to return to in the future.

A place where the road finish. Isolated surroundid by trees e ulivi ! A small swiiming pool ! Nice, Peace and serenity ! Food created with passion and with the original tipical local ingredient, a mix of cuisine Ligure e Tuscany ( Lunigiana ). Good, I will stop here every time that i'm travelling in this area !

I've just come back from my short trip, this place is so cool! Lost in the nature, taste food and weird & interesting host that enjoyed my stay. Price wasn't that bad too.
Only 1 annoying thing maybe: the street to reach the place is quite messed up, don't even try to take it with you racing car :P
