the hotel and bedrooms are all very tidy and clean. the restaurant menu is very seafood biased. not my thing, so only ate there once. the steak i did have was very nice. no pizzas or burgers! wifi is appaling, so slow at times that even google gave up! laundry service takes 2 days to be returned, so you have to be careful not to run out of clothes if staying a long time. all of the staff are very friendly and pleasant. hotel is a good place to explore the town. only big negative is it does not have a car park, you have to use the public one next door. never a problem finding a space, but you have to make sure you have plenty of change! it 0.80 euro/hour and charges from 8 am to 8pm. just wish there was some more modern way of prepaying for your whole stay, without worrying about it.

The hotel is located in the city center near to everything, clean with reasonable breakfast for a little overpriced payment. The check in was smooth the staff couldn’t care less. The room was very small with an extremely hard and small bed. The bar was ok with the barman Matteo who was very helpful.

I expected much more from the four star hotel in a country that thrives from tourism. Let me start with what I was happy with: cleaning service that showed initiative and cared. The cleaning was done properly and quickly. The standard of the room was OK in terms of furniture and equipment although for longer stay e.g. a week or more it would benefit from some bigger drawers. What it was missing was a kettle so no chance for self made tea or coffee or even some medicines that required hot water to reconstitute. Walls needed some repainting and room refreshing too. Bed was comfortable. I liked that there was few large mirrors and unlike in other hotels visited by me plenty of electric light. OK, so what was the problem. There were many unfortunately. If you are unlucky you will get the room facing south where you will have the view on an office building in a distance of maybe 10 meters. So this is not a view that a tourist would like to see. For a business trip this shouldn't matter that much. Secondly when staying on the top floors you will hear jumping on badly designed metal terrace on the 5th or 6th floor that brings the vibration and noise to lower floors during some parties. This can be annoying for those who do not participate in the party;). Then if there is a night gathering like a concert in nearby plaza the windows on the south wall will not protect you from it too much. I also found some reception service not extremely friendly when speaking with but maybe it was just my impression. The restaurant worked the whole week from 19:30 to 22:30 (diners) which is nice. The quality of food is a matter of taste although one of them meals I would not try again. What worried me more was that I got sick after one dinning but I have no proof that it was due to the food there. In terms of breakfasts it is really modest bit sufficient although the quality is not high e.g. once I got some drink that suppose to be orange juice and it only had the color but taste of water (luckily not the tap water). What I can tell you is that unlike in other regions of Italy and Europe you don't want to drink tap water since it is strongly chlorinated and the taste is bad. Be aware that the rooms have thin walls and most of the noises are heard fairly easily. Another annoying thing was that there is no hotel parking so you need to use the one across the street which is paid from Monday to Saturday (80¢ per hour from 8:30 to 20:30 with two hour gap in the middle of the day). The hotel has a swimming pool which I tried to go to once but it was reserved so I gave up. What I also liked was the fact that all electrical sockets were able to take the regular schuko plugs which is not always the case in Italian hotels. Internet connection was protected by a password although could have been faster a bit. Summarising if I had to visit the region again I would try a different hotel.
