A stunning hotel with an amazing location overlooking Lake Iseo. We stayed for one night as part of a tour of Italy. The room was first rate with very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. It was a shame we were only here for one night, but will definitely consider returning to this hotel. Breakfast was served overlooking the lake, what a great way to start the day!
What a fantastic place.... Lovely rooms, super helpful staff and amazing views We stayed in room 325 which was great as a family of four, plenty of space and right next to the pool and breakfast room. The restaurant was very nice and breakfast was good. The hotel itself is a lovely old hunting lodge and decorated accordingly, which we found charming. Special mention to Daniella who helped us out so much when our car broke down on the way to the hotel and then, again, when I managed to leave my wedding rings at the hotel
Great stay at the hotel and excellent food at the restaurant. Nice and clean and service were great and very familiar. Unfortunately the pool/jacuzzi wasn’t open as the hotel opened for the season just a week ago but we still enjoyed the spectacular view of Lake Iseo from the hotel surroundings. We recommend a stay here and a visit to Iseo and Monte Isola to anyone!
Very cozy and friendly hotel where you feel yourself as at home. Better book suit and observe beautiful sunset with a glass of francecorta. The view is stunning. Don’t waist your time for searching for a place for dinner better have it at the terrace of your room - very romantic experience.
Fantastic setting almost on a cliff with an awesome view upon lake Iseo, a nice though small , swimming pool, nice well decorated quiet rooms (we had the one looking at the garden); the restaurant serves excellent food and offers seats with a nice view upon the garden. The staff is very friendly and helpfull and the hotel is well located for whoever wants to visit Brescia, Bergama, Iseo or surroundings: a great place to relax after hectic visits to the local beautifull cities, we shall come back ;-)
This is a fantastic hotel, lovely rooms but the outstanding part is the terrace looking out onto the lake, way up high. We spent hours up there watching the changing scenery and the activity on the lake. Food was excellent and the service top notch.
We stayed recently as part of four couples on a wine tasting tour of Iseo. We stayed the first four nights in a garden view room and the latter three nights in a lake view room. Both had their merits, the lake view an older style of room with a stunning terrace and lake view, the garden view room being more contemporary and quiet. The service was excellent and we dined three nights in their restaurant where the food was delicious and the staff looked after us very well. Daniela on reception was excellent in the lead up to our stay and extremely helpful in sorting out all of our preferences and requested and even arranged the local taxi person Mr Pagnoni for all of our taxi trips during our stay. Ado also took good care of us during our stay and even looked after our Franciacorta purchases in his cellar till we departed. He has also arranged to post a jacket that we left in our wardrobe !! You do need a car for this location as it is a fairly steep drive from the town of Iseo but the setting and view is well worth the effort. The breakfast terrace dining area was a perfect setting to kick start each day and the cosy and stylish dining room was perfect to end the evening. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with bath and shower provision although ensure that your are in rooms 34,35 or 36 for this facility. A good size, if somewhat cold, swimming pool was available together with a sun terrace and hot tub. If staying in the older part of the hotel with lake views, be aware that their can be some noise from weddings and parties held in the venue downstairs from the rooms but the noise doesn’t last all night and stops not too late into the evening, I only mention it in case anyone is an early bedder !! …
We stayed with three other couples and had a great time. We had views from our rooms to the garden which was good enough but we really ought to have opted for the lake views. Dining was first class. Internet was poor and flaky and there was no mobile phone reception so felt cut off. A car is really needed as the hotel is so far from civilisation.
We returned to this hotel after a few years and got a suite that comes with a big and well equipped private balcony. The view from there is .... you need to see it! The hotel is furnished with antiques, however, we liked style and atmosphere. All staff is always very friendly and helpful, e.g. we were informed before booking that there will be 2 weddings during our stay. The restaurant is still (one of) the best in this region - this is wrt to quality of food as service. On the negative side we need to mention that in our room the mattresses were outdated by far and need to be exchanged soonest. Nevertheless, a place to return again!
Highly recommend a lake view room as the views are breath-taking. The hotel is very clean our room was big in what I understand is the new part of the hotel it was very quite (save for the last night when there seemed to be a lot of bottles being thrown into a bottle bank not sure where that was) but this went on all day and until about 1am in the morning. I think it had something to do with the wedding that was going on. The hotel staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The breakfast is good you can order different style eggs and there is enough for all tastes. They could do with putting the breakfast under some covers or in cold trays rather than just on a long table. We also had dinner in the restaurant on two nights. The food is really good but not cheap. The only draw back to the hotel is the fact that it is high up a mountain and you really need a car to get anywhere (that or a bike!). Walking down the mountain seemed risky there might have been a path way through the woods which we did not find but could not have used as we had trouble enough with the mosquitos without walking through woods! The pool area is not that relaxing as a fan seems to come on for a few hours which disturbs any relaxion (but this hotel is probably not one to go to just sit by the pool). All in all I can highly recommend the hotel but I would suggest that you only do a short break of say 3/4 days, we stayed for a week and that for us was too long.…
