The hotel was right in the heart of Forte so perfect to be able to do some retail therapy but such a peaceful oasis to return to afterwards The staff were extremely professional and so friendly and really went out of there way to make one’s visit special. The suite was very comfortable and spacious including well designed dressing room. We ate her several times including inviting local Italian friends to join us for dinner and they were suitably impressed too. The spa treatments were excellent and therapists extremely experienced. Plenty of parking with valet service and a shuttle mini bus to take you to the Alpermare beach too

The Hotel is indeed very beautiful, small and stylish. Very clean and beautiful big rooms. However, for a 5 L star hotel, the service is around 2 stars max. The receptionists are arrogant and the stuff doesn’t know what the front does nor vice versa. It’s like you are in a separate hotel. (Example, the stuff from the pool has no clue when the check out is...which should be basic knowledge for workers there) Also, the beach place might be charged separately. Meaning, in the general description it’s advertised that the hotel has a private beach. Therefore, a normal person understands that the service it’s included in the rooms. However, in the basic room it’s not, nor it is expressly written that is not included. Since the general description offers that service, it should be included or expressly written that is not. One bed there costs extra 200 euros a day, whereas 5 min walking distance one can rent beds with 15 euros.
Moving on to the worst part. The breakfast. Horrible. Worst then a 3 star hotel.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The staff were amazing. If you ordered room service they would be with you within minutes. The bedrooms were full of Italian charm with dramatic billowing curtains, a large comfortable bed but no mirror. There was a full sized one in the bathroom. The hotel was perfectly situated right in the centre so it was so easy to cycle into the pedestrianised area. The sun beds around the pool were so comfortable and the pool was perfect to swim in once it had warmed up from the sun around lunchtime. We would love to go back there. A beautiful holiday.

the main purpose of a hotel is usually to have a place to sleep. it was impossible to get any sleep in this hotel due to the beds being practically rocks. they are the worst beds i’ve ever seen in any hotel. even the couch they had in the living room was more comfortable and that’s where i ended up sleeping. booked for 5 days and ran away after the first night with no refund from the management.
avoid at all costs if you value your sleep

Trying hard to be a five star hotel with a long way to go. The pool area was never serviced in terms of pool towels and drink ordering. Every day we went there it was the same. If you could find a staff member and request something, it was most unlikely to ever arrive. At one stage we had the hotel driver bring us towels. Pillows were awful. Housekeeping was good though .Simple things like milk in the fridge for coffee should be a basic item . Extremely expensive for what you get

I travel the world frequently and stay in 5 star plus hotels on a weekly basis. This hotel wants to be one of those, but fails badly. Many of the customer-facing staff can't handle basic tasks such as charging for a room, and are rude in the process (there are a couple of exceptions). The decor is very tacky: gold everywhere. It's comfortable but tasteless. Stay at the Principe in Forte Dei Marmi instead. It deserves its Leading Hotel membership, it is stylish, and the staff are wonderful.

The hotel is on a central location and the property is very attractive. However, inside the place looks very tired and it needs a complete overhaul in design and investments in new furniture. The same for the rooms. it feels more like a 3 star hotel and is miles away from a 5 star designation. with prices over €1000/night, the current status quo is misleading and not acceptable.

This 5-star hotel is in probably the best location in town. You can drive right up to the hotel and park there, which is super convenient, and yet you're also just a short walk away from the center of Forte dei Marmi since it’s right at the start of the pedestrian area.
The moment you walk in, you'll be struck by the hotel's opulent and sophisticated vibe.
What really sets the Grand Hotel Imperiale apart is its distinguished clientele. It attracts guests who truly appreciate the finer things in life, creating a refined and exclusive atmosphere.
Despite its grandeur, the hotel doesn’t feel stuffy at all, thanks to the wonderful staff. They manage to strike the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, making you feel right at home.
Unlike the typical 5-star hotels from big chains, the Grand Hotel Imperiale offers a unique and memorable experience. It's sophisticated and elegant, but also has the charm and intimacy of a boutique hotel.

The hotel is really dated. The room had a flashing alarm light going off all night long and it took two days for this to be corrected. The toilet was leaking all night and the elevator stopped working twice during our stay so we had to take the stairs up 3 flights. To make matters worse the staff is incredibly rude and I have never such a bad experience in all the years I have been going to Forte Dei Marmi.
