Location: perfect, 3 min cycling and 7 minutes walking from the city center of Forte dei Marmi. 5 minutes walk to the Beach.
The Hotel is beautiful, in a quiet street in the center of Forte dei Marmi, very well cared for. We are a family of three and had a room with a separate space for the kid, a beautiful terrace with a double sunbed. Breakfast was amazing-pancakes, various eggs, sweets etc- the swimming pool is great but we still went to the beach. The Hotel has an agreement with a beach nearby so you get a discount for the umbrella with two sunbeds and two chairs. We also got bicycles for free AND a welcome drink and we booked directly through the Hotel website. Everyone was extremely welcoming, kind and generous. The service is fantastic. We did not try the SPA but will definitely do so next time! We will definitely go back!!

We’ve stayed at the St Mauritius every year for a decade and we haven’t posted a review for some years, simply because it would say the same thing year after year! But we felt compelled to do so this year having seen one or two reviews of recent years which are about things we just don’t recognise.
The fact that we go back year after year says it all. It’s a great place to stay: relaxing, comfortable, and always welcoming. The staff are invariably courteous and attentive and the rooms spotlessly clean, with air conditioning that’s a real pleasure to return to on a hot day and if anything works too well at other times.
The breakfast is always good with a varied range on offer.
One of the highlights for us is the opportunity to cycle in a town that’s almost designed around cycling! The hotel bikes are free if you book through the hotel website which is a real plus and an incentive to do so. They are chargeable otherwise but that’s made very clear when booking.
All in all it’s a fabulous place to stay, quiet, comfortable and we’re looking forward to going back again next year.

The hotel is luxurious but at a very affordable rate, especially for an upmarket resort like Forte dei Marmi, we felt that it was excellent value for money. The staff were pleasant and the food at both restaurants was excellent. The experience at Sciabola fine dining restaurant is fun, delicious and unpretentious. We also really enjoyed the live music evening, the spa and the ability to rent bikes. The location is an easy less than 5 min walk to the seafront and 10mins max to the shopping area.
The only negative was that the swimming pool was unheated and very cold, this made getting into the pool unpleasant and we only swam for short periods, this is a real shame and is the only reason that we would not return.

This charming hotel is amazing. We had a great experience. The location is a short bike ride away from the center of town and its so convenient that the hotel offers free bikes to use. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. Each morning we ate outside on the quiet terrace overlooking the colorful flowers in the garden. Such a delight. We enjoyed a mid-afternoon cafe on the terrace and a pre-dinner cocktail at the bar in the lobby. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We ere so pleasantly surprised to have such a large bathroom and terrace which are very rare in Italy! The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions and they all spoke English which was a bonus. The soothing Spa was also a special treat. Thank you Hotel Mauritius, we will return!

St Mauritus has it all - warm and professional service, nice pool and spa, comfortable rooms and great food. Conveniently located at a few minutes bike ride to the town centre and the beaches, it is a great location for short stays at Forte dei Marmi. By the way, bicycles are complementary, look good and ride well, including those for kids.

We had a great vacation at the St Mauritius. The staff was constantly cleaning, always smiling and happy to accommodate requests, help with reservations and ensure that our stay was perfect. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast delicious with lots of offerings (buffet). We hope to return next summer!!!

We had a great experience in Forte dei Marmi.
The hotel is modern and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and restrooms are a decent nice size. Bed and cushions were comfortable. We could hear other people during the night time but that was just sometimes, so not a big deal. Interior and exterior spaces are clean and well kept. Free bikes clean and well maintained were a nice plus. We were at the hotel in June wich is still low season so not too many people were there and it was just perfect. Maybe the room was slightly overpriced for being the second week of June but anyway we had a great experience so I can say it was worth of the money.
People working there were awesome, gentle, fast and we felt a good energy between themselves and towards us. We were fully assisted and had everything we needed for the whole stay.
Thank you everyone from the receptionists to the breakfast team as well as the cleaning ladies.
Shoutout to the factotum people assisting us specially with the bikes, and also to the barlady who was simply great!
The only bad point we have to say is the main road in front of the hotel were people drive very fast and IT WAS DANGEROUS several times. Be careful because they do not stop even if you are in the right spot to cross the street! I heard many other guests complaining about it as well. I think the management should take care of this problem because an installation of speed bumps is really needed.

We booked this lovely looking hotel for our honeymoon having got married in Tuscany a couple
of days before. We booked the most expensive suite.
The hotel and the room were very nice to be fair. Great views from the fourth floor. Nice pool. Nice relaxing areas. The stay hot off to a bad start when we asked for a bucket of ice to be brought to our room and we’re presented with a €10 bill. When I asked what it was for the embarassed staff muttered something about the cost of washing up. Needless to say I declined the ice. Having asked management for an explanation we were ignored for the 5 days. To be fair the staff did give us ice the next day. It felt like they were trying to make money out of everything we did. €15 for room service. Tried to charge us €10 to borrow a bike. Despite paying a considerable sum for the room. Breakfasts were nice - but it felt like the staff everywhere were tired and bored and couldn’t really be bothered. There was one very friendly young man at breakfast who was the exception. Culmination when we checked out with a lot of luggage and no one offered to call the porter. Instead just watched me struggle out with the bags. Won’t be back. Maybe will be better at he start of the season but beware. Not high service levels you’d expect from a top quality hotel.

After years of visiting Forte dei Marmi, I finally got to go on vacation there. What a charming city, and what a great hotel St. Mauritius is. The staff could not be friendlier, the service is great and the rooms are so well designed and detail particular.
Breakfast is perfect, snacks and drinks at the bar are great, housekeeping is perfect. I have no complaints - which may be a first for me. Thank you Sara, Serena and Marizza.

This place is all about the public areas. The rooms are little more than shoe boxes (albeit very expensive ones). When we arrived, we asked to be upgraded and managed to obtain a corner room for an additional fee.
Even in this room, the noise levels emanating from other rooms made the experience uncomfortable. On our final night we were subjected to completely unreasonable levels of noise from the room above - which seemed to be occupied by several elephants having a party. When we complained to the reception desk the occupants of the room, rather spitefully, decided to play their music on the balcony at 0200hrs.
When we checked out, I mentioned the terrible experience to the front desk staff who apologised but left it at that.
I would not recommend this place to anybody who isn’t deaf as only a deaf person could enjoy staying there.
As a final comment, I would say that it’s understaffed and it can be a very slow process trying to obtain any service.

Carissimi amanti della dolce vita del Forte, questa tipologia di camera è sicuramente la DELUXE, posizionata proprio per godersi la vista e la brezza marina. Per i numeri è meglio chiedere direttamente in struttura. Allora la prossima estate ci vediamo al Forte!?
