Typically Italian hotel with wall to wall marble this is a very nice hotel. Very clean and well maintained, we had 2 rooms on second floor, with side view of sea in one direction and mountains in other. The hotel is about 15mins transfer from Pisa and maybe 5 mins walk from town centre. Nice and quiet apart from Friday and Saturday night when everyone is posing in their lambos on the main rd (couldn't hear it in room though). Pool area is good and room air con perfect. Recommend going to Pisa on train (either get a number 35 bus from town centre or taxi which about 25 euros, you can't walk to train station) if you go to tourist information they can give you bus timetable, buy tickets from tabac BEFORE you get on bus. Also recommend cinque Terre and mountain walks in Seravezza. Food was excellent and all staff made our stay a real pleasure.

Lovely hotel with efficient friendly stall and excellent food. Great location with a good, safe pool. A very good location for a beach holiday (use the free beach up the road) of for touring Tuscany.

Best location in FdM. Easy access to beach, centre, restaurants, and everything else. Staff is amazing and very cooperative. Clean and spacious room, with a nice balcony. Bike rides from the hotel are also a must. Breakfast is a 7/10. All-in-all, a very refreshing experience with the friendliest and most welcoming staff.

We chose this hotel based on TA reviews & were so disappointed. It was one of the most expensive rooms we stayed in during our Italian road trip & was the worst experience.
The disappointments…. Intermittent Wi-Fi more off than on! Dated small ‘standard’ room Tiny bathroom with inadequate storage space Definitely 3* max not 4* Bar staff girl was miserable & didn’t even speak when we greeted her! Breakfast was poor quality, food was slow in being replenished, staff inefficient & dour Pool chairs uncomfortable Uk adapter doesn’t work in electrics shower was mainly cold with hot spurts but strong flow
However… Receptionist Alena was so welcoming & charming Spotless throughout Large balcony room 209 Air con is powerful Pool was nice temperature Good location Parking outside on street

We are very sorry that you did not like the design of the room, we would have certainly provided to meet your needs and we regret that you have decided to penalize so negatively our structure. As for breakfast, however, it is characterized by enormous variety and completeness. In fact, it offers hot and cold, sweet and savory dishes, following both continental and Anglo-Saxon traditions. Our staff, then, is perfectly organized and made up of young and experienced staff that stands out for its strong orientation to the guest, for courtesy, professionalism, reliability and for the commitment that is deep daily in his work. Amazing place with great atmosphere. Next to the sea side! Very friendly stuff and outstanding service! A warm welcome from the beginning. Delicious breakfast next to the pool area. Nice setting also for dinner by the pool and the bar. Sea view rooms. Everything in the whole hotel was really clean.

Just returned from fab holiday at The Grand Hotel in Forte dei Marmi. The hotel is lovely with lots of marble decor, the bedrooms are lovely and include a small fridge, safe and good sized wardrobes. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful about everything. We had room 215 which was fine with a view of the street and shoreline. the pool area was good but the water was freezing! Public transport was nearby and excellent for getting to the tourist spots. The railway station is 2 miles away from the hotel so you need timetables from reception. To our surprise we had completely fresh bed linen EVERY day.Forte dei Marmi is a resort full or designer shops so take plenty of money or just window shop. Excellent markets on Sunday and Wednesday where the latest fashions are cheaper but still on the expensive side.Coffees were 3 Euros each.Really recommend this hotel and resort for location to travel to Pisa, Portofino,Lucca, Florence and Sienna..

Beautiful hotel . Great food . Nice pool and friendly staff . Bus stop over the road for lucca. Lovely city and walked around the walls . Bus was less than 10 euro. Centre is 5 minutes walking for other places to visit. Get the train Pisa and Florence less than 1 hour away .

this is a well located reasonably priced hotel on the beach in forte dei marmi. Rooms looked like they have recently been renovated and they are nicely furnished if somewhat simple. No flat screen tv or anything like that, but a huge leather headboard sets a bit of class. Not a huge balcony, We requested a sea view room and got it. Cool was a bit cool, but we were there nearer the start of the season. Breakfast was adequate with a good selection.

Stayed here 8th to 22nd Sept 18. Reception really helpful, quick check in and very knowledgeable of the area. Room clean, small balcony but fantastic view out to sea and gorgeous sunsets every night. Cleaning staff were lovely and friendly and did a great job. Buffet breakfast with loads of choice and lovely coffee. Evening meal with plenty of choice. Never had a bad meal. Reasonably priced bottles of wine. Waiters were great, so friendly and helpful. Pool area lovely with plenty of sunbeds. Bar area is very pleasant and prices are reasonable. The bar staff work very hard they are friendly helpful and efficient.

Hi we visited Florence and the trip was organised by the hotel . A bus collects you outside the hotel it’s a lovely trip and Florence is Beautiful well worth it

There is a small shop about 5 mins away, and the centre is only a 10 mins walk .The supermarkets are a good walk away, but not worth the effort for little items.

No pool towels are provided. The dress code is casual. I’m not sure about all rooms, in fact my neighbors smoked in the room. You are supposed to have a special card provided by the hotel in order to get drinks etc, and you pay in the end of your stay.
There are more places to choose from in the Forte Dei Marmi area.
