A small gem of a two star hotel 5min from the beach. The room had all facilities you need, and the floor was tiled, which I prefer. The breakfast was above two star worthy, and for the first time in Italy I got a Scandinavian sized cup of coffee when asking for an Americano! 😁 And the waitress understood we were from Scandinavia, and asked if we wanted even a second Large cup! Hotel Ambra is a family hotel located a few minutes away from the centre of Forte dei Marmi. It is situated in a nice garden which is very pleasant and has an internal car parking. The owners from Naples are extremely kind and helpful and I understand in the high season they also cook quite well. Unfortunately the rooms are very simple and not so looked after, with small issues such as a dripping shower or a missing lamp in the bedside table. Also the breakfast is nothing to write home about, with coffee made from an automatic machine (?) and standardised products. This clearly explains the 2 star rating, but maybe with little effort they could improve it. In any case if you are looking for a centraly located placel, with a reasonible price I would definitively recommend this hotel.

My husband, 3 year old, and I decided to drive down and stay a night here during a trip we had planned. Found this hotel on a booking site for a great price. It was just a few minutes walk to the beach, which was what we were looking for. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The Garden is very well maintained and quite lovely. My only issues were the loud guests staying near us. I was many times, but I'm a light sleeper. I'd stay here again on future trips.

We stayed at Ambra for 3 nights and found the hotel to be just the right fit for out purpose - we can only recommend to try it! Especially the hospitality of Alessandro and Emilia created a family atmosphere and made us feel very welcome.
The hotel is located both near the center of Forte dei Marmi and the beach, 5 minutes walking only, and it has a private car parking. The building is very nice with an extraordinarily neat and beautiful garden. The rooms were simple yet still nice and clean and with comfortable beds - only the bathroom could use a little makeover which is planned for this autumn. We can also recommend to try out the dinner at the hotel. It was delicious and the price was more than reasonable. All in all, I'd think it will be hard to find a better bargain in Forte dei Marmi if you're not looking for a high priced, high class hotel but for a nice, honest, friendly and cheap place to stay.

We spent a week in hotel Ambra. Hotel with perfectly well-kept garden is situated in calm part of Forte dei Marmi close to the center. Beach is 300 metres far away. Our room was spacious and clean. We were very satisfied. Delicious Elisa´s cuisine, large selection of starters was excellent. Both staff were very friendly, mainly Alessandro, who help us very well with our problem with Thule box. Delicous cuisine and friendly staff will miss us for a long time. Thanks!
