Where do you start with a review of a hotel like this, this is not your run of the mill hotel this is not a corporate monster this is an Oasis of peace and tranquility. On arrival you are greeted like old friends and this continues throughout. The breakfast is superb and has something for everyone and the restaurant service in the evening although having a limited menu stands against anything else offered in Forte dei Marmi. Lovely rooms comfortable beds, beautiful surroundings within easy walking distance of the beach and the town centre and a staff who genuinely care about their residents. There's not a lot more you can ask for.
Pandemic allowing we will be back soon I hope. Ciao arrivederci.

This hotel is elegant but rooms are quite small and it’s hard to justify the cost.
Positive: super location, in the main friendly staff. Pool area is well situated and the eating terrace very relaxing. The decor and art absolutely make this feel like luxurious home rather than a hotel.
Negative: not great value and the bikes are hopeless!

Dear Guest, We are happy to read you liked our location and staff. We are happy you found our pool and terrace very relaxing. We are also glad you noticed our décor & art, we are very proud of those aspects. We promise that will pay more attention to our bikes’ service, thank you for your advice, very helpful for us to improve. As far as the rooms: as stated on our website our classic standard rooms are not big, but larger rooms are available (like prime deluxe rooms, 30 square meters); and for those who like more space we also have suites available. We look forward to your next visit! un caro saluto,

Second review.
Still among the best in this lovely town.
Clean and welcoming. Everyone has a smile. A boutique property where the only flaw is the wifi that limits/blocks many sites.
Sumptuous breakfast.
The rooms are not luxurious but well appointed and in tune with the the sea-side lifestyle.

I have been travelling to Forte Dei Marmi for many years . The hotels there are generally small family owned properties and the standards are a little old fashioned and dated. What a breath of fresh air staying at Villa Roma .The property is a charming low built Villa surrounded by lovely gardens . The lounge areas are so tastefully furnished . The terrace where food is served is a delight. What makes the hotel stand out though are the fantastic staff . It was so nice staying there the first time that i went back a few weeks later . Cant wait to return !

My husband and I adore the energy of Forte dei Marmi and make certain to stop there on our yearly European tours. We've stayed at the Augustus several times and, though the rooms in the more modern building are larger and have the unique luxury of two bathrooms, we find the Villa Roma Imperiale to be warmer and more charming. It, too, includes modern conveniences. and the breakfast is exceptional. But, most of all, the staff is delightful. We look forward to returning again next summer.

Very expensive. Room was very small. Not as luxyrious as I had anticipated. Breakfasts were excellent, as were the staff. Far too many young children, very noisy! For that price I dont expect to be disturbed by screaming children. Loved the pool area and grounds. Jill in Nottingham

Dear travelers,

With such a great pleasure I would like to share my excitment about stay in Villa Roma Imperiale!!!
We've spent there 3 fantastic days from 28.08-01.09, but these memories will stay with me forever...
First of all warm, sincere and helpful staff, the main reason why this hotel has his own spirit and soul!
The second factor is, of cource, high level service, everything starts from check in procedure, room make up, set up at breakfast etc.
The third is finest interior decision (color spectrum, furniture, floral compositions, small decorative elements...)
Certanly I shouldn't forget to mention comfortable location, fabulous territory around the hotel and sence of harmony I felt there!
Dear Villa Roma Imperiale TEAM, Thank you so much for such a great pleasure and emotions!

Extremely disappointed, amenities outdated and overly priced. The configuration is crazy. We needed to take 2 elevators and walk about 1/2 mile from our rm to front desk, indoor pool, and dining halls, etc. Never put one toe in either pool afraid of catching something that would require dr. assistance. All dining services sub par. The best thing I ate while there was salad. Rooms are dark, no microwave, no in-room safe, a old-musty order covered by Febreeze.

The sports facilities are terrible: bowling, racquet ball, rock wall.

All workers were nice even if uninformed.

We will never ever go there again.

WRONG HOTEL !!! Dear Sir, Our Villa Roma Imperiale is in Forte dei Marmi and it is not as you describe YOU MADE A MISTAKE. Our hotel is a 31 room Villa, we DO NOT have two elevators, we DO NOT have an indoor pool and dining halls, we have a beautiful pool in our garden. We DO NOT have a microwave, our rooms are very bright and most of them have either a balcony or access to the garden. We are a SMALL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, we DO NOT have sport facilities such as the ones you have mentioned. We truly hope you can cancel this review as it does not talk about our hotel and is obviously a mistake. Thank you

This wonderful Hotel is perfect for a relaxed enjoyment of Forte dei Marme, the italian Palm Beach. The service, including the wonderful breakfast, complements the furnishings of this converted Villa that make it into a restful high end homey experience. Exploring the town riding the bicycles provided by the Hotel is always fun, as it is an endless source for shopping and a venue for fun markets set up in the piazza on Wednesdays and Sundays. All the girls at the front desk treated us with great interest and their attitude was always helpful to finding the right kind of activity for us. Their kitchen does not serve a full dinner but their willingness to prepare wonderful hors d'oeuvres with a plate of great pasta was perfect more than once when we were really tired from the days activities. We loved our stay and will definitely came back !!

Just spent a great week end at this hotel which is righteously called Villa. Everybody can check its pictures online and imagine how everything is gorgeous and maybe even better in reality. However, pictures will hardly be good enough to convey the atmosphere of serenity and beauty in which the Villa is immersed. In May it was probably not that busy but I am sure that things do not change for the worse during peak season since common spaces both inside and outside the building are spacious and cleverly designed for relax. Staff is attentive and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, all items of high quality (just hope you find the pear and chocolate cake when going!). Our room was spacious and bright, with any comfort you may want. Forte Dei Marmi is great also when too cold for a swim (which was our case): great shopping including an astonishing street market (only on Sundays I guess), great and (now) scarcely populated beaches, and the mountains as a perfect backdrop for your walks. We spent a great night out in the neighboring city of Pietrasanta, a small city with an incredible number of art galleries where we enjoyed the great exhibition by Igor Mitoraj (free): his sculptures are placed on the main square and in a former church and are really impressive. Just can't wait to go back to what I have started to think of "my" Villa at Forte Dei Marmi.

No beach but only 5 mins bike ride. The Hotel provide a free bike and so much fun to go around as it is bike friendly with bike lanes all over town and beach area.
